Can't disagree tbh we do have some tough away games though.

And would love to see forest get champions league. Europe would still be more than good though

No reason that Forest can't stay in there - other than injuries to key performers - they've already shown that they can compete against the teams at the top and are putting the lesser lights to the sword on a regular basis - they also have momentum...

Suspect that every footie fan other than those in the title race and the more partisan at Derby and Leicester would love to see Forest actually win it ...

Liverpool top on about 90 pts
City second on about 76 pts
Arsenal third on about 74 pts
Chelsea fourth on about 72 pts
Forest fifth on I don't care how many points
    Newcastle sixth
    Villa seventh
    Bournemouth eighth
    Brighton ninth

Though if Arsenal sign a striker, we should get second.

Far from over yet. Only takes a couple of bad weekends and it's back to being a 3 points difference. If we win our game in hand (the ****e away - not easy, look at last season) and set up a nine-point lead at the end of Feb (a February that includes an away trip to City) we can start being a bit more smug than we are about a 6-point lead with a game in hand in mid-Jan.

Wouldn't be booking the open-top bus yet. :emoticon-0112-wonde

Liverpool won't win by that many points. IF they are that far ahead in late April I would hope we'd be concentrating on the CL (if we're still in it) and fielding the reserves in the last few league games. That won't happen though. The league won't be won until early April at best.

Give over, you've got no good team in form chasing you down either. It's not like there's a genuine title race going on. You've had hard games, drawn a few and still no-one has got any closer to you because the rest of us are just not very good. We were 9 points behind you five games ago, and still are now. You've got the injury stats on your side too. Since the premier league started publishing injury stats on their injury website, the team that wins the league has always been the team with the fewest injuries (out of the big clubs that could feasibly win it anyway). And Liverpool have the fewest injuries this year. You've still got quite a lot. But the fewest compared to the only other two teams who could realistically win the league. In vaguely recent history, if you just look at the top clubs vaguely challenging, the league has only ever been won by the big team that had the fewest injuries.

    This.
Liverpool are going to win because there is no one to challenge them.
Arsenal and City are having an off season, plus Arsenal ****ed up in the window by not getting a striker and sticking with just Saka and Havertz to score goals.
And the rest of the teams who make up the traditional top 6 are not there.
Chelsea need at least another season, possibly two, with SENSIBLE signings to catch up, and Spurs and Man Utd are having absolute ****ing mares at the moment.
And as good as Newcastle, Villa and Forest are, they aren't there either.
This should be a cakewalk for Pool

That Everton match is much tougher than a lot of people are giving credit for imo. Haven't you dropped points there a couple of times during title run ins?

Throw in the fact it's the last Goodison derby and under the lights and it's a very tough fixture. Draw wouldn't be that bad at all as long as you beat every other bottom half side tbh.

Which bit? There's nothing subjective in any of it. It's all just the numbers from the prem injury site.

You could argue it's pure coincidence that the fewest injuries always correlates to who wins. But that would be a big coincidence.

I can post the numbers if you want. It paints Liverpool in a very favorable light over the last five years for how they've done compared to the injury hands they've been dealt and how they've actually managed to perform with those injuries.

7pt lead, 9pt lead. It doesn't really matter when no-one is chasing you down.

I'd love nothing more than a plate of those numbers with a hot cup of tears.

    Thank you

Plus they have Moyes back in the saddle, that will give them a big boost.
Though if I recall, his record in Scouse derbies wasn't particularly good.

    You love it.

    20/21
    City - 40 injuries, 96 games missed, 720 days lost - 1ST 86 PTS
    Man Utd - 40 injuries, 104 games missed, 766 days lost - 2ND 74 PTS
    Liverpool - 54 injuries, 243 games missed, 1722 days lost - 3RD 69 PTS

No real surprises here. City least injuries and walk the league with no other genuinely good team to challenge. Current league holders Liverpool's injuries are so bad they drop down into third below a mediocre Man Utd.

    21/22
    City - 29 injuries, 140 games missed, 779 days lost - 1ST 93 PTS
    Liverpool - 39 injuries, 169 games missed, 968 days lost - 2ND 92 PTS
    Chelsea - 50 injuries, 188 games missed, 1015 days lost - 3RD 74 PTS

No real surprise here but City did have less injuries than Liverpool so it's impressive that Liverpool therefore got so close.

    22/23
    City - 27 injuries, 62 games missed, 447 days lost - 1ST 89 PTS
    Arsenal - 22 injuries, 119 games missed, 985 days lost - 2ND 84 PTS
    Man Utd - 34 injuries, 133 games missed, 1031 days lost - 3RD 75 PTS
    Liverpool - 36 injuries, 184 games missed, 1574 days lost - 5TH 67 PTS

Again no surprise for title winners. City have fewest injuries by far and walk the league and win the treble. Liverpool crash and burn into 5th with so many injuries.

    23/24
    City - 26 injuries, 72 games missed, 672 days lost - 1ST - 91PTS
    Arsenal - 23 injuries, 108 games missed, 898 days lost - 2ND 89 PTS
    Liverpool - 35 injuries, 156 games missed, 1383 days lost - 3RD 82 PTS

Another one with no real surprise. The best squad with the fewest injuries win the league. Liverpool get a few injuries and didn't get near challenging. - but 82 pts with 1383 days lost is unprecedented.

    24/25 so far
    Liverpool - 12 injuries, 467 days missed - 1ST 50 PTS on track for 90pts
    City - 19 injuries, 543 days missed - 4TH 38 PTS on track for 66pts
    Arsenal - 20 injuries, 567 days missed - 2ND 44 PTS on track for 76 pts
    Spurs - 21 injuries, 655 days missed - 15TH 24 PTS

At the no moment, still no real surprise. City and Arsenal riddled with injuries and are not really anywhere near challenging. City dropping off that much is poor though as they've had less injuries than Arsenal. If Liverpool get 90pts with what is admittedly still quite a lot of games lost through injury, that's impressive. Winning the league against even more injury riddled teams isn't, but getting 90 pts is.

Indeed, even if Everton beat them, they will still walk the league unless they have a total meltdown, which doesnt appear likely.
Arsenal dont score enough and City are now too far behind the pack...and everyone else is not ready.
