Well he wasn't mentioned as someone we are interested in haha, just as someone who watches the league am curious why we aren't.
January won't be cheap getting a striker in but that be the difference between us going up and staying down
Sheffield Utd are assembling a great team for getting promoted. And a terrible one for remaining in the premier league
might be the difference. Might. it also might be the reason we have to sell players for less than we’d like in the summer if we spend big now and fail to go up. I trust the club.
Charles has had an excellent season at Sheff Wed, you would think that must be permanent or it would be a bit weird to recall him. 3 top quality signings that really show the financial muscle of the parachute payment teams. We're going to have to nail our recruitment to keep pace with them.
yeh sorry my point wasn’t necessarily aimed at you, more a reminder to the people thinking we should break the bank for promotion. You can’t get refunds if it doesn’t work!!!
they’ve already recalled him. He’s serving a 7 day notice period now. Will return to Southampton then go to Sheff Utd. gutting for Wednesday.
I tend to think Cannon will make a good premier league striker. Maybe not the european end of the league, but to me he has the attributes needed to a 10+ goalscorer in the league. And he will give you that hold up you need when you are under pressure. He would have been excellent here imo. Shame we couldnt get him, but we will have other options I am sure.
Seen people getting pissed over boros "5m bid for Whittaker", as if that's A- actually true or B- ever going to be accepted.
I think most sensible fans are hoping we can find a little more in the budget for quality rather than insisting we need to spend big. Those insisting that we need to spend big have been demanding the same every transfer window since KLD got here. Ultimately, if some players are out of our price range and we have to keep looking for gems to compete against the parachute payment clubs then so be it. That's just life and we'll keep making the best of it.
