It’s a ridiculous past time - if you want a walk go in the countryside. If you like putting things in small holes then there’s alternates that are more fun
A reminder if I may; Please don't post anything concerning the Southport crimes. Even if what you wish to say does not seem political to you. Southport is off the agenda. That isn't only my call, it comes from the very top at Not606. Any posts concerning it will be deleted.
This should worry every true Londoner. An absolute disgrace. We have no idea who these people are. Over 600,000 of them in London - illegally.
I have a few thoughts on this matter, but I'm not sure what the current policy is here on the forum regarding off-topic political posting, since I relinquished responsibility for that policy. Under the rule as it stood yesterday, if I posted those thoughts I would certainly be breaching it. Once we know where we stand going forward I may or may not elaborate. In the meantime I don't want to post anything that may be considered out of order. Also, I have no objection to anything that I post (including this message) being deleted if it is considered not appropriate. And I do mean that sincerely. I do not wish to cause any trouble.
Dear oh dear The increasingly irrelevant BBC has now lost the live TV rights to the rugby Six Nations from 2026. Bill McClaren must be turning in his grave. How can the BBC Poll Tax ie Licence Fee be justified for what is becoming an increasingly irrelevant broadcaster ?
Appalling news that the group of feral pigs set loose in Aviemore were captured & destroyed today. It was the humane solution according to experts …it seems far from humane to me for fvcks sake
Re-wilding activists had let them loose near the Cairgorms National Park overnight. They were easily rounded up …with the offering of food. There looked to be about a dozen of them. The news report said “experts” recommended they be humanely destroyed. It seems obscene to me.
Pity they couldn't ship them down to Maryon Wilson Park. The two porkers in their animal enclosures there are looking rather bloated and in need of exercise. These little chaps would have livened things up for them. By the way, I hear that a plan by Greenwich Council (Boo!! ) to close down the animal enclosures in the park has been scuppered. Good news I think The deer, poultry, sheep and goats etc. are nice for local kids to visit and look at. And they can't cost that much money to look after.
