City are back. So their next games against Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle and us will be a wall in the park
Same as when they beat Salford, flat track bullies. Frankly Ipswich defence was non-existent, can't remember any of them actually stopping Man City attacks. Really poor.
Lol, how is Ange still in a job. Spurs literally sacked managers for being higher in the league that Postecoglu has them.
The rumours regarding Amorim and us were, at the time, that he was unwilling to change his style of play in any way and, consequently, we didn’t take discussions further. Another Edwards masterstroke?
Fair enough, grandad isn't tech savvy. However, the grandson clearly is. Why didn't he just sort it for him? Ie, set it up using the required tech that grandad doesn't know how to use. Still **** from the club, no excuse for that.
I get that he might have a style/system he likes but currently he doesn't have the players to use it, so he just looks like a moron forcing square pegs. Thank god we did go for him in the end.
All true but I think that fits the narrative; he needs to sign the players to suit the system. We didn't want an overall, we wanted continuation.
When Hodgson told us some waffle about having to accept this he didn't last 10 games. In 1989/90 man utd finished 13th In 1973/74 they were relegated. Amorim needs to shut his mouth and start making decisions. Drop onana would be a useful first one.
Tbf he said “here’s your headline” and wasn’t talking literal. I just can’t get my head around managers these days thinking they can just do whatever they want to do regardless of who they have available and **** the results! It’s amazing really.
My thoughts on utd. 1.change the keeper. 2. Pick an actual back 3 and stop changing. The lumps are not quick enough and the line is too deep. CHANGE. 3.stick with the 2 cms and don't change against. 4. Stop for the love of God changing the wing backs. Is diallo a wing back or forward. 5. Pick two players as attackers and drop the rest and keep them dropped 6. Pick a ****ing striker. Amorim is causing half the issues as he won't pick a consistent team. Their back line is always too deep and there's too much space to play in. Players don't know their roles nor what lanes to close. Basically this is a **** coaching performance so far. Get the mistakes cut out. Push the line up. Close the lanes. Then start adding goals.
I can see arguments both ways. United have been a mess with no identity over last few years. They relied on moments of brilliance or errors to win games rather than patterns. Bringing new manager in clearly has a very different style and they obviously need to give him time to implement that and get the players needed. It’s not his fault that they hired a guy that plays with wing backs and no wingers but have about 12 wingers at the club. They need to give him time to get things sorted and if they hired him to play his style then he’s right not to deviate otherwise end up trying to train them to play a different way and then in summer when get new players have to change again
What Amorim also needs to do is just stfu. Regardless of results the managers job is to stay positive and promote positivity to the fans and players. When you come out with this somebody above him in the Man Utd hierarchy need to go have a word and tell him to button it. In [the past] 10 games in Premier League, we won two," said Amorim. "Imagine what this is for a fan of Manchester United. Imagine what this is for me. "We are getting a new coach who is losing more than the last coach. I have full knowledge of that. "We are the worst team maybe in the history of Manchester United. I know you [media] want headlines but I am saying that because we have to acknowledge that and to change that. Here you go: your headlines." You don’t get anyone onside coming out with this type of remark constantly, which he has done since he arrived.
