Some of the things being said by Post, Amorim and Howe are just weird. So Amorim has said that his manu side are the worst in PL history. Howe is indicating he won’t be here past July. And Postecoglu is stating that other PL teams are taking advantage of their injury crisis by uplifting transfer fees. He’s also saying he doesn’t have a good enough squad.
I didn't see that tbh, just they were all saying professional crap. Howe leaving here for Man U or Spurs right now is laughable.
Lol I saw this on the BBC site. As soon as the interviewer said that I thought oooooffff he's not going to like that. Great bit of journalistic prodding tbf.
Results have not been kind this weekend for us. Chelsea getting their **** together as ate Man City. Forrest winning. Meh.
Well someone posted a comment basically saying that the transfer embargo will be removed in the summer transfer window but that he might not be the manager to benefit from it. I can’t quote anything but it was posted on here by some people. I wonder if his remit this season is champions league football or a cup and if he doesn’t get it he’s toast.
He basically said that this January and summer transfer windows would be tough again, but after that there could be a big change. He than joked "Whether I'll still be here to appreviate the change us another matter" "laugh" Just seemed light hearted to me. But some fans on here have assumed he must therefore have a plan to leave the club.
Probably. And I still think there are some internal politics happening. I still don’t think him and Mitchell see eye to eye. Howe appears to hold all the cards. Eales is still at the club despite being poorly. I wonder why he hasn’t been replaced yet?
Yeah. Seemed like it to me. Link here if you want to see exacrly what he said and the manner in which he said it. Skip to min 28:22
I don't understand how there was so much talk of us signing Guehi for £60+m if we had no cash and had to sell Minteh & Anderson to avoid breaching PSR. Something doesn't stack up. Or someone got their calculations badly wrong and we came close to going way over.
We did. And we are in the same position now in this transfer window. I would be extremely surprised if we bought anyone without 2 or 3 players leaving for transfer fees. Summer window will be different.
Howe never indicated anything of the sort if you watch it. He stated that with the way the clubs current psr status is that they don't have much this Jan, he was then asked about the summer window and he said he didn't know if the situation would be much better by then. He then stated that after that, then the future looked a lot brighter (as in the following summer as that's when clubs do business as apposed to winter windows). So he stated he didn't know if he'd still be around at that stage - Well when you see how some supporters completely lose their **** at a poor performance it's no wonder he's saying things like that. Blame all the complete fannies that can't control their bladder's that start typing all sorts of ****e on internet forums for making people feel like their not wanted or appreciated.
I suppose the plus is that this time next year or summer 2026 things will kick on. Stadium news soon and an exciting end of season to look forward to regardless.
How is it NOT going to change this summer? We will lose a years transfer loses (of either 170m euros from the 22/23 or 130m 21/22 seasons - not sure which) off the books in June I believe so surely we should be in a position to spend in the summer. Add to that the increase revenue from Adidas and a year of CL money in the bank must mean that this summer we can splurge a bit of cash.
