It would but it will actually cost us more keeping him here and him being about as much use as a wet paper bag.
I interviewed Jamie Wood for the City match day programme about his international call up, and it included a picture of me with Wood, Whitmore and Goodson before the match they all played in. I’ll have to dig it out.
Thought he was quality in those Europa League games and was hoping we’d sign him at some point. Unfortunately, it never happened. He’s had a decent career though.
Sorba got a 20 minute run out, next Nantes game is next Sunday. Hopefully. we can get something sorted out with Huddersfield this week, who can recall him from his loan at Nantes to sell him to us and negate the Nantes summer buy option.
You'd be surprised. They probably had better offers than Stockport County last time, it just depends on what guarantees the club can offer in terms of playing time and who can match the wage contribution being demanded by Villa. As Millwall have just landed a load of money and need a winger, meaning Barry would be first choice, it just seemed like the logical choice. You'd think anybody in the top 10 would want him, but then they wouldn't be there without good players already, so can they offer the playing time without shifting out a member of their first team? Then you're into the middle pack which is more likely but funds are tighter.
I hope not, I really liked the look of him. I think his initial ban is until the end of next season, but we should find out the verdict of the appeal soon.
Why would we sell our best player? If anything this would mean Simons on his way out, or Zambrano on his way back
Can’t sell Alzate, he’s my favourite player, so it would be illegal. I expect Simons to go, he’s been really poor since Selles came in.
Same here... and from a purely financial perspective, im still hanging on what the two Southern American football pod casters said about him.
