If we can stretch the budget then I’d be taking the deal on a permanent now. Near enough half price on what we are apparently willing to pay. If he’s half decent should be able to move him on for a profit even if he doesn’t turn out to be prem quality when he’s here.

What about Hull and Derby and the numerous others that took the same gamble/risk for whom it didn't pay off?

Sounds like we want a loan with an obligation of 15m if promoted but they want us to sign him permanently now for 7m euros. I’d honestly prefer the buy I think

Russian journos reported when he signed it was a €4m buy option. Also it seems to be general consensus that it becomes obligation if we go up

I get the point you are making. And can see why some fans (not saying you are) would prefer us to just go and do the cannon deal even at £10m+. But that’s the sort of business we did under Ellis short. To me what we have now is a clear strategy but one I think can set up long term success. Will Ipswich stay up? Doubtful and they they’ll have a lot to sort out next summer if they don’t. If sheff u get these solid championship players signed for big money and go up, will they be in a position to stay up next season? Again I think that’s doubtful. Then rinse and repeat in a years time.

Obviously the caveat is if we don’t go up, lose players and our strategy ultimately doesn’t get us over the line. But I think whether it’s this year or next, we will get back up and when we do we’ll have really solid foundations to make sure we can push on once we are in the prem. But of course time will tell.

From what a few of us on here have scouted of him

proper number, great movement in and around the box, I particularly like his double movements which is a big thing for a striker, can cut inside off the right aswell, powerful

I really like him as do a couple others

Seems they are short of strikers if he goes so throw Ba and Rusyn into the deal and buy him now.
Highly unlikely but would be a good deal for us

He is intelligent at dropping in to link play

Passing can be sloppy at times and he is still learning how to fully use his prospect but he looks like he has the physicality to play in England

    I think he’s a very intelligent footballer

that’s why I keep mentioning him with the double movements, not a lot of strikers can do that

Signing Isidor permanently now makes no sense to me. We’re currently not paying a salary to him and would have to if it was made permanent.

the fee is agreed already and we can exercise it at end of season.

I’m sick of hearing the ‘same price of cannon but cannons played in England’ Frigan is more suited to us imo as much as I’d have liked cannon. Lazy comparisons
