This is a painful watch. It’s humiliating. Why did he take Leaburn off ? I would love it if the owners put the club up for sale tonight, held their hands up, and admitted it hasn’t worked, because it clearly hasn’t. We are miles off promotion with this rag tag outfit - it’s embarrassing how far off it we are. Harrods ambitions with a Poundland squad.
The owners must be realising by now that they've been sold a turkey. Time for Charlie &co to face the music.
Supporting Charlton has become a really unenjoyable chore. It’s only the banter that keeps me on here to be honest, I cannot stand anyone in our current set up including 99% of our squad. I just have no affinity with any of them . Where are today’s Roger Alwens, Lennie Lawrences, Curbs, Steve Browns etc ? Just a bunch of low grade grifters & charlatans, being weakly egged on by a small handful of forum freaks & thickos. Sad times.
The whole thing has become laughable, nothing will change with the current lenders and SMT, I’m not sure which ones will go first
There was a time when today’s result would have spoiled my weekend, but not anymore. Even though I have a Season ticket I can’t see myself going to many more games this Season. I am bored rigid with it all.
Watching their goals back, it’s worth remembering that this was our full strength midfield & defence out there today. They got totally over run, by passed, out tackled and out jumped. It all comes back to the core truth that in football, you get what you pay for 99 times out of 100. The investors haven’t spent a fraction of what is required to get promoted - it’s no coincidence that the bookies have Wrexham, Birmingham & Huddersfield as runaway favs for the Top 3. We are not even on the page - 66/1 . At the very minimum, the investors should now be making major changes to the management both in the boardroom & in the dug out …better still …put the club up for sale.
This window will be laughable, I dread to think what carthorses will come into a floundering mid table division 3 club.
Lastmin.com again. Either deadline day free agents, or loans. If there was a budget, we would have behaved in the same way as Huddersfield & 6-7 other League One clubs, and got our business done early.
What a bunch of ponies. In the same way we were due to smash someone recently we were also due to be smashed. The result flattered us tbh. The one positive is that super striker Ahadme was dropped from the squad entirely.
