We will just continue to bum along in mid table, with Jones shuffling the pack again and making another 3/4 changes in the hope something works.
Two bang average mid-table teams slugging it out. I expect not a single mention of this one on SSN during Soccer Saturday, and I can't blame them. 0-0 is not an unlikely result. Rotherham are not free-scoring or free-conceding. Essential that we win this one to keep pace with 6th place. Anything less and our credibility as play-off gate-crashers takes yet another knock. A first win of 2025 would be nice.
After a slow start Rotherham are slowly moving up the table, they are unbeaten in four. I have never like playing a team managed by Steve Evans, a draw at best for us.
With the recent improvement in our play, a spot in the playoffs is quite possible. It's also possible that our season will fizzle out, and every game is vital, the position we're in. If we were to tie Lloyd Jones up on a 2/3 year contract it would be a statement of intent; flog him off it will also be a statement of intent. We don't do too well against Steve Evans teams, do we, so it's hard to be too optimistic. We are walking a tightrope, and need our midfield to step up, no invisible men please, Berry and Doc.

We have a team that can beat the top teams in the division. We also have a team that can lose to the lowest teams in the division. We are exactly where we should be in the table. A mid table League one team.
