Iraola may well just be flavour of the month and not the right guy for Spurs but even if he’s just that, he’s done some job at Bournemouth and levels above Ange. Who knew you could have organisation and play good football at the same time?
Newcastle fans always wanted to see Kluivert scoring a hat-trick at St James' Park. It's 20 years too late, it's his son and he's playing for the opposition, but still...
I don't think it is flavour of the month. He's done a top job at recruiting the right players and building a brave, high-risk, high-reward system that is also structurally sound too. The fact they're 1 point off the top-4 is testament to the job he's done. Obviously, the pressure at Bournemouth and Spurs would be very different, and he'd be facing a whole other level of scrutiny at Spurs. But there's enough evidence from his management that he deserves a punt at a bigger club. He guided Rayo Vallecano to promotion from the Segunda División in 2020-21 (via the playoffs). Then cemented their status as a mid table team in the top division. He did this whilst having significantly less resources relative to other clubs and incorporated an entertaining and fearless philosophy that the fans enjoyed. He's an excellent coach. Bournemouth will struggle to keep hold of him for much longer.
Hammers now down to 10! Potter looking for his lawyers number to start checking the Contract for get-out clauses!
Nunez subbed on. Brentford fans: “You’re just a **** Andy Carroll!” Nunez bags two goals in extra time. I love football at times.
