Not any criticism of Wilson here just the opposite in fact , but I think Watson is our only player to hit 2 goals in a match this season and it could have been more, he is another who hits a hard shot , as does Mundle ., I wish one of them could play on the right and have Roberts comming off the bench , it would give us the best attack outside the Premiership imo.
Is it known if we have a deal in place to buy Wilson? Not sure I take enough notice, but I hope we have, unless the Russian sanctions are a barrier.
Has he had three disallowed now? From memory two that have been very tight and might have been given on another day.
A few thoughts on our boy Wilson after last night. Firstly, no more penalties for him, he had his fill last night, secondly what a player he might end up being, and was saddened to see him upset at full time and heartwarmed to see the reaction from our supporters. It doesn't take me much to ingratiate yourself does it? Just actually care, give an ounce of yourself for the team.
19 regular season games left and he would need 12 goals, I'll admit that's a tough task but not impossible.
He gave their CBs the toughest game I've seen them in this season, unfortunately he will be remembered for the missed chances He's got to get a goal soon just to get that confidence back
He’s a pretty solid forward at this level and most non Sunderland fans mentioning him have said he’s one of the best 9s in the division
Aye cause the league is full of top class strikers, isn’t it… I don’t mind him, just would like some serious competition to come in. He knows he’s starting every week at the minute.
He seems to be on a scoring run. 11 goals now and it should be a lot more, with the disallowed goals and penalty saves. He had 3 good opportunities last night. 14 games to go - I reckon he might just do it
