Le Fee had some quality moments and we're going to play some awesome stuff when he gels into the team. I was excited but apprehensive going into this one and we were wobbling at the start. Several top notch performances to turn it round and we produced some real moments of high quality. Disappointing not to grab the 3 points, but proud as **** of the lads and let's get behind Isidor and lift him up. Well done to all the lads and lasses at Turf Moor as well. Excellent support.
I don’t think your criticism is ever biased or unfair. As supporters who attend games, you and I will both be behind every player on a matchday as long as they give 100%. Criticism is fine as long as it’s constructive and fair, but some people on here can’t accept that.
They are deluded and if they aren’t ****ting themselves then they should be. How Egan Riley can stand there with a straight face and say they didn’t have much to do is hilarious. They’ve only conceded 9 goals all season and lost twice.. they should’ve lost twice to us. They know we’re better than they are.
completely agree with all of this but the crazy side of my brain keeps thinking about what if we miss out by 2 points. Aaargh I don’t even blame Wilson. He didn’t try to miss and he clearly cares. I’m just gutted
Gary Rowell in my opinion think he scored all penalties apart from one can’t remember who it was against -anyone know ? Got mentioned on the beam back last time a SAFC player missed two penalties in a game I think Darren Bent v Spurs but I could be mistaken - anyone know?
I was in their end and as I left I heard a lot of their fans saying ‘ I rate them’ ‘good point they were impressive’ ‘good side them’ etc They left the game talking about how good we are and hanging on for a point.
Wilson was always going to be feeling like **** tonight, he's someone who gets emotionally involved and even if he wasn't it'd be bizarre if he just brushed it off and got over it instantly, it's his job and he failed very publicly. I liked how our players rallied around him and how he faced up to the fans at the end. I think he'll be fine.
Might I add he’s only 24 playing his first season in England, he’s not exactly a seasoned pro himself yet I can understand frustrating and constructive criticism for missing, not abusive / nasty comments about attitude, ego, or just calling him ****e
What a good coach RLB is. Trusts his players to sort things out and most times they do. Every player has grown since he was appointed. Sensible after the game, and I'm sure the players will learn from this. Everybody is a bit frustrated that we didn't win, but that's a good thing, right. Roll on Tuesday and hopefully 3 points. This team is worth our support. It's going to be interesting lads.
understandable but I’m very positive now knowing that we are better than Burnley and Sheff Utd, and think we can actually go on and do it now
It’s a valid point, if we miss out then we probably will look back on certain games.. but taking 4 points off Burnley is good going. Losing to Plymouth and last minute goals conceded against Millwall and Stoke are what’s damaging. Aye I agree. Dropping points in the last minute against Stoke and Millwall isn’t great. Nor is losing at Plymouth. Frustrating to think that penalties have cost us 3 points against Burnley and Sheff Utd away though. We’d be top of the league and unbeaten against the top 3 in 5 games with just Leeds left to play. That’s the bitter pill to swallow imo. The lads deserve it for how we’ve played in those games and having a decent penalty taker on the pitch would’ve done the trick.
I’ve seen enough now of the rest of the top 4. No reason to believe we aren’t going to reach the top2. We are the only side within that mix to have 1 team to play (Leeds). Get Mundle and Watson back, couple of new additions, and we are doing it.
