Did you want him to take the second penalty?

He’s much better through the middle, he needs back up or possibly play with Mayenda but I’ll leave that to RLB, he’s got us in with a chance up to now. Le fee has to play in the middle but I think while Mundle and Watson are out he stays on the left. He’s a gem.

So far yes but it’s been minimal the time. I love the movement of him and Mayenda up top to be honest and I hope all the ‘never makes subs’ brigade noticed us add a man up front. I’d have kept his movement on but added a killer.

Oh you’ve gone and done there with pens and playoff final, that’s all I’m going to be thinking about now :emoticon-0102-bigsm

missed opportunity aye, but like you I am more confident than ever we are in this fight. Felt abit like we were hanging on within touching distance of the top 3, we are absolutely as good as them and have just as much chance to take it all the way.

and I do genuinely believe, we would give the Prem a much better crack than Burnley or Sheff Utd, forever going to be yo-yoing with their parachute money

This came up after Roberts missed and plenty of people, me included, said your 9 should be taking the ball for the penalty - because Roberts isn’t a natural taker. Penalties should always be taken by your striker unless there’s a specialist ie Palmer in the squad imo. But if said striker misses 1 and looks nervous as anything to take a 2nd then I’m not sure that’s the right move. If he missed the penalty and the ref ordered a re-take so he had a 3rd opportunity would you want him taking it again?

Said it before and I’ll say it again I don’t think there’s anything wrong with him taking it twice I just got the impression by his body language he was nervous and they played on that by the looks of it. Hindsight is a great thing and nobody knows if any other player on the pitch would’ve scored had the stepped up but that’s football, you never know.

Going to say it and and no doubt will regret it but

When we Win you are very quiet. When we lose your are very loud. I can't get over your description of some of our players as being arse, ****e etc.

Probably best I don't post after games on match threads as it's gets me in trouble

Works his tits off Rigg mind. We recycled a lot of ball and he was firmly part of that.

If he refused to take the second and Neil or anyone steps up and misses it then he gets slagged off and is unprofessional. And rightly so that would be unprofessional. We aren't going to agree though and I'm not going around in circles with this like. Agree to disagree and move on.

he also does a lot of good stuff off the ball that’s easy to miss. I just think he sometimes struggles to get on the ball as much as he could / should. That might be a formation issue.

Once again, you're not reading after every game as that's a lie. And unfair. Some of you can not take any negative comment towards players or in discussion.

I have praised 09 and Patterson tonight. Usually I would be shot down without doing so.

Now , here we are. The same type of post because the adults want to debate football without the need to always say our lads did class. Grow up.

The strikers we are reportedly after are 'finisher' types. Cannon, Frigan and Riis are all pretty old school strikers who don't offer a great deal in open play but will put the ball in the net if given a chance. You need different types in your squad and I think one of them alongside Isidor and Mayenda is a great mix of attributes.

I didn’t, no. But at the first opportunity you’re sat behind a keyboard saying it’s ‘greed’ and straight on his back. The second wasn’t a terrible pen, the first was. But the difference between you and I, is that I am getting behind Isidor and you’re sat here trying to slate the poor lad. Think about where we were 5 years ago and reevaluate, is all I’d suggest.

Feels like a kick to the balls but the ache is in the heart.

Isidor, we love ya, get back to it next game.

It's like most have said, I'm thinking "Roberts, Le Fee...someone else take it?", but that's hindsight, he buries it and he's back to being the hero like Pompy.

It really hurts, I really hope Mepham isn't ****ed, it looked like a knock but sometimes those ones end up being worse. I didn't even realise we had Ballard on the bench which was a relief. Feel like we will never see Ballard and Mepham together, which could end up being our best partnership.

Thought O9 was class anyway. Hume and Cirkin were dodgy first half and sound second half. Le Fee oozes class, to come in on the left on your debut to shoehorn in a 17 year old must be mental when you're as good as him, but what a guy, showed many facets of his game, technique with crossing, good skill to beat his man, simple passing made to look like a machine, I'd try to get him central.

Isidor should've had a hattrick, but it happens, its devastating. Thought despite the missed opportunities he was good, a real threat, the amount of solid runs I spotted from him, the midfield lads were apprehensive about playing him and then Mayenda comes on and makes it his goal to do this ****. He's a cracking foil for Wilson, in my opinion.

Neil was good at times, I look forward to seeing him playing further forward in games where we have Samed.

    Roberts done his job today.

    Re Rigg

Nobody doubts his potential he’ll be a star for sure but I’d argue he’s been one of our less impactful players for many games this season. But that’s because the others are playing at such a high level and he’s 17. It’s a given he’s only just left school. We’re moving into territory where it’s difficult to carry a player who’s maybe not at the level of those around him just yet but has that special something that could win a game. Really harsh on the boy but Neil, Bellingham and ELF are better right now. Rigg will be quality off the bench still.

Better players than Wilson have missed penalties in the past , this game is now in the past and we have to move on .

Ironically I needed a Roberts SoT for my bet to come in and as soon as we got the penalty I said f**k my bet I don’t want him anywhere near that penalty!! :emoticon-0102-bigsm Wouldn’t of bloody mattered if he took it and missed as long as he hit the target!
