Guzan Rosy Chester Gerrard Dawson Koren Harper Evans Devitt Fryatt McClean 2-0 Cardiff they are just too strong in Midfield and upfront and city dont have the muscle to cope with them. Pearson should also be starting Simpson and Belaid not McClean and Harper but he doesnt have the balls to drop the players he bought!
All those you name 1Jordan are players that Pearson brought in. Simpson was bought, Belaid was free, McClean was bought, Harper was free....what is your actual point here. He will pick a team he thinks will win the match surely, not by how much they cost us. McClean is exactly what we need up front against a good Cardiff defence, he will cause them some problems...we need pace on the wings and Simpson could offer that although I prefer Belaid personally on the wing. I also prefer Barmby but he is better as an impact player these days. I still think this will be our blip but a win will give everyone hope for 6th place come the end of the season....our season starts here and next week at Forest and the week after etc etc.... UTT
Well for me against a top team if we go all out attack we will struggle and they will dominate us.... so for me.... Mannone Rosenior - Gerrard - Chester - Dawson Devitt - Harper - Evans - Koren - Mclean Fryatt Clearly the two wingers can push up and switch sides whichever they want, if we go behind we have the ability to go and play 442, plenty of ways to change the game without making subs early on.
Incidently Cardiff played 451 against Leicester, crowded them out in midfield and used bellendamy and Ramsey to join in wide to attack. I bet they set out like that tomorrow especially away from home. Hoping for a 1-0 win, settle for a draw
I wouldn't mind seeing Koren in the middle with Harper.Evans has done well but I think having an out and out defensive midfielder alongside our RoKo might give us a nice balance in the middle of the park. Usual back 4.Devitt and Belaid out wide.Simpson and Matty F up top. Barmby and Aaron M as impact subs. UTT.
Guzan Rosenior Chester Gerrard Dawson Simpson Harper Evans Koren Mclean Fryatt 2-1 City Think we'll see NP play Jay Simpson on the wing, he did well there coming on vs Derby and didn't play a bad ball.. Devitt & Barmby as subs. Tough test.. we don't lose many but a draw no shame either..
How come everybody suddenly wants Harper in the starting line-up, maybe he does the job we don't notice. Also think it's a bit harsh to drop Belaid after one bad performance. The previous two games he looked top class.
Jay simpson is starting..... This is it guzan rosenior gerrard hobbs chester dawson (attacking dawson and rosenior down thewings) koren evans harper simpson mclean fryatt watch for this ;-)
Always backed Harper, I thought he had one of his best games to date v Derby, he's a positive influence on the team. Belaid is still acclimatising to the football over here I think and I would leave him out v Cardiff.
If I get tickets for the Forest game tomorrow, will I get on Tiger Travel? Are there any spaces left? Thanks.
Hope he starts something like Guzan Ros Chester Gerrard Dawson Evans Harper Koren Belaid Barmby Fryatt/McLean/Simpson Barmby makes a huge difference when he comes on. Why not play him first half, give them something to worry about and get their defence tired then go 4-3-3?
So without one of those players are you saying thats the defo line-up for tomorrow? Anyway my line-up would be: Guzan Rosenior Chester Gerrard Dawson Koren Evans Harper Barmby McLean Fryatt Bench: Mannone, Hobbs, Cairney, Devitt, Belaid, Garcia, Simpson And I'm going for a 1-1 draw.
I got a bet on 1-0 to Cardiff. Hopefully Ramsey will give us a brilliant performance on his send-off I've always liked Fryatt though, wouldn't be surprised if he scores past us
I was waiting for us to score against Derby on Tuesday rather than hoping, even though I knew we weren't playing well, it's been a very long time since I've felt like that. However, I have a bad feeling about today, I think we'll come unstuck, 2-1 but we won't lose form, it'll be a minor blip. Hope I'm wrong, come on Hull! UTT
The point about Cardiff being too strong was definitely on the money, though I'm not sure Belaid is the answer, he was very poor at Ipswich and Derby. I don't really understand the 'won't drop the players he bought' comment, as he's bought them all.
