Morning. On the way to the office to work just over an hour then back home, the journey takes longer than how long I'll work for. Ticks a box though.

Morning ... middle daughter's birthday (missus yesterday) - so out to a posh steakhouse tonight and also going to a cracking Thai restaurant tomorrow when eldest will be joining us - gastronomically exciting but my wallet will be squeaking ...

Day two of my Asta project course.

Seriously impressed, knocks spots off the MS Project version.

I think I might retire into planning in a couple of years, get off the coal face and the hassle and stress that goes with it.

Can sit in an office and enjoy the cakes and pasties till retirement.

Yep I could see Venus, Jupiter and Mars clearly, even with a full moon.

I went out with my daughter last night to have a look too, she loves it.

I think the full 5 planet alignment is on 21st Jan ? Uranus and Neptune will need bins/scope to see.

The Doctor prescribed me some tablets yesterday called naproxen but they’ve done fook all tbh. Chiropractor eased it slightly and I’m back there again tomorrow afternoon. Still can’t put my socks on or get a proper night sleep and still feeling it constantly. The girl who cuts my hair called in before and she give me a sip of her morphine bottle which helped and she give me some plasters called Versatis 700mg which I put on my back. Both of them helped much better than what the doctor gave me.

Naproxen take about a week to get into your system, they're more of a slow release, less addictive than morphine and others, they're not great but help.mild conditions, yours sounds more than that, normally a doctors first point of call though. I had a bad fall when I was 23 and shattered the bottom 3 discs in my back, they no longer exist, know everything your explaining mate, I know you won't feel like it but get up at least every hour or so and have a walk around, don't push it, just move, does a lot more than sitting/lying around.

I can't have naproxen, I had it for years and it fooked me up, hence why I have coxib now, I think the latter is the far better drug and without the problems that naproxen causes. I really don't know why they prescribe that drug, make sure you eat before you take it mate or have the stomach lining tablets with it. Morphine is ideal. There is an injection they can put in your back/spine, and then you have to have six monthly boosters until it's under control. The proper name of the drug is celecoxib if you go back to the docs at all.

Naproxen is just stronger Ibuprofen you sound like you need more than that. Codeine might take the edge off at least.

The Naproxen is giving me a really bad stomach. I am having it after food which was suggested to me and it says it on the instructions which I always read before I take anything. Is that normal?

I tried codeine tablets the other day but it never made a difference. I can sit down now but I have to do it on my left buttock because my right side is too painful. I can’t stay seated longer than 20 minutes because of the pain and it’s hell getting up again. Walking is the least painful thing for me, atm. I’m spending my day mostly walking from the living room to the kitchen lol. Not sure what else I can do.

They need to give you the stomach lining tablets with Naproxen, but you will need to tell the doc it's upsetting your stomach, maybe a quick phone call or one of them online forms should sort a prescription going to your chemist. Although if it's making your stomach bad that quick I'd say avoid personally.

They should have prescribed Lansoprazole to take along side it.

These strong Nsaid's do **** your gut up.

If they try to give you Diclofenac, say no.

It's a miracle anti inflammatory, but it causes way worse issues.

Naproxen is a milder version, yet still causes big problems.
