13m if true is a bargain if he helps get us up. Haven’t really watched much of him, but we do need extra quality over there to push isidor. A like Mayenda, just can’t be relied on
how would any transfer happen with that logic? if we had Vardy, Edouard, Dhaka, Ayew then we probably wouldn’t need cannon either
Can someone explain where he plays? we line up 442 out of possession which slot is he taking? do we play 2 strikers? Does isidor become a left forward? Does this simply add depth and allow us to chop and change? I can’t imagine a world where le fee, isidor and cannon don’t start if he signs and don’t know how to fit them all in first world problems I presume FWIW I don’t know what he’s worth but it’s an exciting time to be a Sunderland fan, they’ve signed some duds but that’s part of the game, importantly signed more good than bad and that’s good enough for me
or Isidor. If he’s so good why did Moscow let him come to us? And why were Watford willing to sell Kevin Phillips if he’s so good?
Personally think we might see Isidor move out to the left until Mundle is back. After that Cannon will be a sub. Unless he’s scoring for fun. (also need to keep reminding myself that so far it’s just Nixon)
We won't fit them all in to the starting line up but I think that's the point It's about having another option off the bench and rotating the squad throughout We need the squad to challenge for top 2 and Cannon massively improves our squad imo Would then need a RM (Vale) and LB (unsure on this one yet)
Fwiw got told Leic want 10 mill for Cannon, that from a high up position, which to me indicates if all is true, the supposed 3 million difference nixon is talking about is partly a loan fee plus promotion incentives
The amount of people talking like anyone not in the starting XI if everyone is fit is basically a waste and may as well be dead is hilarious. I have some big news for them about Rigg.
I’d agree it’s risky but with a young English forward if he starts scoring for us the rewards could be massive
They aren't the best at keeping in line with PSR rules. They probably need to sell to buy themselves a bit of time. May as well sell someone who's currently out on loan, than someone currently in their first team.
I think I'm starting to come round to Cannon signing. Can you imagine chasing a game, the threat of Jobe, Roberts, Isidor, Le Fee and then bring Cannon on to supplement them all?
Could be any number of reasons I suppose. Probably they rate their existing strikers as more suitable to their style of play. Note also he was signed by Maresca, who is doing a fine job at Chelsea. Since then it has been Cooper and Van Nistelrooy. Not all coaches see players in the same way. Maresca seemed to think he was worth a 5 year deal at the time.
