Personally i don't think we are challenging City for the title this season. So i would like to wish them luck in their next 2 fixtures.
Its only fair, they gave us a hiding so they should give Chelsea and Arsenal a hiding too <cool>

Come on! If they lose these 2 games we will be right back in the mix for 1st place.

It'd be interesting to see what would happen if Chelsea lost again.
It's always good to see Arsenal lose, of course.
Hopefully Everton will give them a game on the weekend, too.

Yeah i know that. But, despite our form i still think we are more likely to lose 2 games than they are.
If we can stay about 6 points (or better) from them by jan 22nd (i think thats when we play them) but also open up a gap below us then that would be perfect. To open that gap below though i think we want City to be beating Arsenal/Chelsea.

I'm well up for a nice relaxing run-in, CL secured, anything else a bonus

I've gone from refusing to hope for anything better than fourth to thinking seriously about, well, if Man City just go on a little losing streak... But sanity prevails enough for me to hope Man City wins both games.

If I could hand-pick each result, I would without doubt chose 2 draws - keep Chelsea or Arsenal behind us, but also give us a shot at closing the gap at the top.

If I had to chose winners, I'd like City to win both though - the title can wait until next year

With Spurs still having a game in hand and yet to play City in the reverse fixture, I wouldn't be so quick to surrender our League Title aspirations just yet.

City have already had an almighty ego clash this season with the Tevez affair and you can't help feeling that the next one is just around the corner.

i would love two draws and us get the 6 points, that is the ideal result for me.

As then we could still have a push for the title(can't see it happening yet) but also give us more breathing room in the top 4.

Everything seems far too easy for city right now, winning virtually every game, humping their rivals 6-1, having a sense of "unbeatable" about them, subs worth 30 odd million......I mean for me it just seems like its too good to be true, if you was a city fan.

Right now, they just have this "aura" but as you seen in europe, they are easily dealt with as teams in europe aren't scared of city but you get the impression each time city play a game, they feel they can't lose and the opposition feel like they can only win with luck.

If you look at the city back four, they aren't great, their full backs make errors, hart is a great shot stopper but again really does make errors when put under pressure and if you get at them, then you will get chances.

Anyhow, something must start to go wrong soon as if city walk this league this year then it's gonna be rather depressing as for me they are such a mish mash soulless club full of random big money signings and not a patch on their rivals utd in terms of history.

I have to say, the teams in their CL group, have made them look ordinary at times, and I'd be surprised if PL managers weren't examining those games and how they were undone.

These threads keep popping up, and my answer is the same, what is mathematically best for us. When teams around us are playing each other it has to be draws, its far better if they drop points compared to us if we win, or only gain one point if we lose.

Btw, we shouldn't be handing City anything just yet.

If Man Utd are still in it, we're still in it.
