Don't think it makes sense for Spurs to loan him to us to be backup to Isidor, which, lets face it, he will be. Bottom half championship beckons I'd think. Maybe to Stoke to replace Cannon.
He;s used to having no budget at Coventry. It was only when he was given money to spend it all went to ****
Was class at the World Cup but does he play over Rice? He’s a 6 and they only play with one. They’ve got Merino and Odegaard in the midfield too. Jorginho and Partey as cover.
Is that the same striker you were claiming was **** after they beat us in the league. Did **** all, all afternoon and scored with a lucky pot shot was how you described him if I remember rightly, but now you'd be excited it we signed him
He may be. Or he may be slightly worse. And either way, is doing largely the same thing as what we’re doing now the absolute best way of maximising our resources for the remainder of the season? Leaving aside all of the longer term implications - which are real and can’t be completely disregarded - if you solely focus on the remainder of the season the evidence would suggest that there’s a fairly significant chance that Cannon would represent a costly method of providing a slightly ****ter version of what we already have at the club. Hopefully he’s hugely effective if he signs, but the chances of Tom Cannon being the absolute best option for all of the aspects that we need to cover (both short term and long) are pretty low. I certainly won’t complain if the end result is ‘good enough’ though!
Neil did a decent job of shoving them back in. They’ll need a significant sale to get them going again I think.
I was surprised by their recent struggles, they’ve got some of the best players in the division Van Ewijk and Haji Wright are quality, would love both here
I think they need to lose a few this summer and properly invest, especially in forward areas. The way it’s going, Arteta won’t win another thing there.
