That’s the difference between having genuinely ambitious owners who want their clubs out of L1 pronto, and a club that’s got an SMT on the grift. We are getting irrevocably left behind as a football club here … window after window. It’s incredible that some still can’t see it.
If Charlton aren't 14 points adrift of the play-offs by the end of January (as I predicted back in November) at this rate we will be at least 14 adrift of the play-offs by the end of February. We aren’t spending because we don’t have the money. Charlie borrowed his dough and now has to micromanage whatever is left of it. A lot depends now on who we manage to keep hold of. If Jones is putting himself in the shop window then he wants away, probably to a club that doesn’t have a nutcase in charge and with serious ambition of playing at a higher level.
Teams in the top 6 are reinforcing. We will be left further behind. Slim hopes still remain perhaps for a loanee. But if we get one that changes our season it will be a huge stroke of luck.

For all the jokes about Wrexham’s owners, they understand the basic principle of ownership in League One, that you have to speculate to accumulate. Scrubbing around with a bunch of free agents & badly Scott -scouted non entities has left us 16th and now 11th in League One. 99.9% of the fanbase bar Mundell & Seriously Red (faux intellectual nerds) and Bexley Boy (congenitally thick) can now see this SMT are duds, leading us nowhere.
Presumably Reynolds and the other one have hired some footballing people who know their stuff to do the bread-and-butter work of guiding the Club. People who are making good use of their undeserved and un-earned funds. A few good football people are all CAFC have really needed since 2007. Yet out of the hundreds who've come and gone since then you can count the decent ones on the fingers of one hand. Instead we've had divorce lawyers, dodgy East-Europeans, Belgian nerds, fake Sheikhs, bald cnuts, axe men, dentists, relatives, you-name-it. In short, we're a fu*king joke.

I must admit I am bored with Charlton. Each year it is the same old thing. False promises, average players, our aim is to finish in the top six blah, blah. I will not be renewing my season ticket or Valley Gold Membership or Charlton TV. I am running out of years to see Charlton successful again. We certainly won’t do it with this lot in charge. We have the opportunity to push on to the playoffs but the owners will not invest in new players to give us that push. I do not understand why they bought us. We will be languishing in League one for ever more. Plus they have no plan to buy the Stadium or training ground. I think they will grow tired of funding the losses and will sell to someone else.
It's as clear as day there is a problem with money. Around 600k? was spent once you take away the Alfie money, now they are trying to offload players before bringing others in.
There’s two distinct camps in the fanbase now. One is bored shi tless with the endless lies, mediocrity & grifting of the last 20 years, and wants us out of this appalling league as soon as possible (this season). The other camp is oblivious to the endless shrinkage of the club and the mediocrity, football exists in a bubble for them at least up until the point the club goes bust again. Thank God Aaronaldo, Bexley Boy, Mundell and Seriously Red were not around in the 80s. The club would have folded.
