Villa playing like Saints on a good day. Only half the passes going astray.

Villa now playing like Villa on a good day. Got lucky with non corner. Just realised this should be on General football thread. Not a PL game, Doh!

In the least surprising appointment ever, Moyes has returned to Everton.

No clubs have broken PSR rules for this season so no point deductions. Our only chance of staying up

I thought I'd heard noises around Leicester being in trouble again, but they seem to have slithered their way out of trouble again.

Probably not surprising that clubs are fine this time round as they were all bodging their accounts with all the dodgy player trading that went on in the summer.

Maybe they might get punished by the FL if they go down. Maybe we will as well, my Leeds mates all seem to think both us and Leicester broke all the financial rules last year and they are the only ones who complied and didn’t go up because of it

Yeah that was my first reaction, not sure why they think we broke the rules as on the surface it would appear we would be comfortably fine with player sales etc

Maybe wages but the rumoured wage bills were pretty close between the three clubs (unless Leeds’ numbers took into account all the players they loaned out as well)

    Big blow to Arsenal that.

Arsenal have confirmed that Gabriel Jesus suffered an ACL injury to his left knee against Manchester United on Sunday. “Gabby will undergo surgery in the coming days and will soon begin his recovery and rehabilitation programme.”

If Forest play like this against us on the weekend, it could be…tricky.

I'm very much wondering why I decided to make it my first away trip of the season.

It's looking like only losing 1-0 to them was our best result of the season! <laugh>

If we manage a shot on target it'll be better than the other trips to the midlands this season.

Hold on, when Stephens pulls his hair it’s a red, when Brooks does it it’s a yellow. Got it.

Just watched the highlights of the Chelsea game. It just rubs salt into the wound when the exact same action on the same player gets different results. I detest Cucurella, pathetic twat should get yellows for rolling around like the colossal bellend he is (not to mention he should have already been on a yellow, funnily enough for a foul on Brooks). But ignoring that stupid little bitch, why was it not a red for Brooks when it was for Stephens? They'll try to justify it as the correct decision of course because they are not only completely inept, but incapable of saying yes we got that wrong. The refereeing (inc VAR) in the PL is a joke. For the 'best league in the world', you'd think they'd actually try and improve it rather than just back themselves up all the time even when they are clearly getting things wrong and making inconsistent match altering decision every match week.
