I’ll take VAR and all that comes with it if we can wave at that useless bastard as we pass him on his way down
We all cant stand the bloke. And his pathetic efforts here are unforgiveable. However, objectively he is a very good head coach. The job he did at West Ham was elite imo. Winning any euro tournament is a good effort and he had a really good side to watch.
My hope, as I despise Everton, is that he started slowly at Preston, Everton, Man Utd and West Ham ... ... I'm banking on him going for a strong defensive set up and getting it wrong. They can't seem to score goals and only a couple of signings/loans would make much difference imo.
That's a shame, very little between the clubs tbh ... ... if it happens I'd love them to swap places.
Nice to get one right Wycombe have some money now mind so i'm a bit surprised he's leaving, signed a defender from Molde and are about to sign a Danish midfielder for £1m
He has done very well at Wycombe. A bit surprised he is leaving for this opportunity. He knows them so well and is in a great place with board and fans. Luton looks a tricky little job this half of the season to me.
Funnily enough it reminds me of Nathan Jones leaving Luton to join Stoke while they were top of League One. Then he did the same thing again to join Southampton.
I’ve got a mild affection for Wycombe after the play off win. I’d love them to go up to the Championship, he’s better off staying.
This West Brom news re: Wicky is a timely reminder for me that we got so lucky for whatever reason it didn't work out with Will Still.
While there's a lull in matches I'll just mention something I was told a couple of months back. It's just gossip but the lad does have a contact at the club and I've been studying things since he mentioned it. I said nowt, at the time, because I hadn't particularly paid much attention. It seems the goalkeeper coach, Barcherini, has a much wider role than I thought. He's involved in tactics, throughout the team, and is the matchday 'statman' who instructs subs going on and is involved in team talks at half time etc. He certainly seems to cling onto the 'laptop' when I've watched him. He has quite an input into how we build our attacks from the keeper apparently. Our new coach and assistant manager, Pedro Ribeiro, is more involved in day to day coaching particularly the young/fringe players. Interesting stuff, does anyone else have 'knowledge' of this out of interest.
