    SPOT ON. AGREED ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS.

i think that Nicky Barmby will play again when needed and maybe against Ipswich Town in the Cup IF BULLARD turns up. Then Barmby can do JB well and good and any suspension would be well worth it. 3 games for doing bullard is as cheap as chips. lol.

Citys main needs are 2 new strikers and a GK. Getting all the injured players back will be like new signings anyway. It seams that i am not alone in the Billy Sharp news. The rumour is gaining pace already. Great IF its true. :)<ok>

Of all the keepers names that have been mentioned Dorus De Vries would be far and away the Best one IMO. Wont get a look in at Wolvers the way Hennessey is playing at the moment for them.

De Vries was instrumental in many of Swansea Citys wins last season and stopped Hull City getting a double down there.

Steve Harper would be my 2nd choice. He has 3-5 years left him at either of the top 2 divisions.

Chris Kirkland, no chance. His ship has long sailed. Did not last one game @ Doncaster recently.

i mentioned Macheda a while back as perfect for Hull City. well within Citys budget and from what i have seen of Diouf a season long loan would also be good.

I also expect Brady to come back in Jan. The lad needed a rest and a gee up. Its gonna be a busy periiod soon.

I think we'll have a job keeping Stewart and Chester, and unfortunately i think the main culprits trying to tempt them away from us will be Pearson and Leicester.

If we manage to keep them then i hope we strengthen the team with a defender, a goal keeper and have another attacking option- Mclean works hard but won't score and our other options other than Fryatt isn't worth thinking about.

dont worry about that. IT WONT HAPPEN - YET. when that day happens it will be to a club far far bigger than lesta city. its getting a touch boring saying that stewart and chester will go. They want to play and further more there are Not many clubs outside of the PL top 6 that have any money. Just relax and watch our rivals lose there key players in Jan.

I bet Papa Allam would Not sell Lesta a Virus. lol.

I have to admit I find it really difficult believing we have much of a chance of getting sharp. Really hope I'm wrong but I can't see it.

he was back to his best on saturday. you read to much into that. Chester in the Burnley and Southampton games was not as bad as some think but since Derby away (when he got his 4th booking) Chester has been walking on egg shells. Maybe NB needs to relax him as when the 5th booking comes it comes. Maybe Birmingham wednesday night would be perfect as WE could surely cover for him @ Coventry on satdee or maybe Millwall satdee week.

Having talked to James Chester and his dad he aint going nowhere. The lads find it annoying that us fans are obssessed by it ? Why talk of our players leaving when the opposite is true. They all want to get to the PL as One Group.

Furthermore, Lesta dont have enough money to even bid for Chester. My bet is that Papa Allam would not even sell Lesta James Harper. Lol.

I'm not reading too much in to anything as I don't think we will sell him! I just think he has dipped in form, which all players do at some stage. I don't think he was back to his best on saturday

It's not since NP left, it's since the opposition realised that playing their 6'4+ strikers on the left hand side would mean they were able to win everything in the air. Watford were the first I saw do it and we got away with it, West Ham did it with Carew and then Cole always seeming to be on that side for goalkicks and set pieces. Burnley had the giant centre back against him at corners. (Why we don't man mark when teams are doing that I don't know)

I just hope NP carries on with the Leicester way of signing the most expensive player for each position rather than nicking any of ours. Stewart is the one that worries me most as they are short of wingers.

As for Chester, he excels at tackling but in the last 3 games I've seen (Leicester, Burnley, Derby) he hasn't had to tackle anyone because we've had the ball the whole time!

i wouldnt disrupt the squad with alot of signings ot be fair.

I think the keeper situation needs sorting if not Mannone on a permanent, then De Vries offers us a solid championship keeper and if his distribution is as good as some say he'd be the perfect solution.

I Hope we dont go down the Diouf and Macheda route ive watched quite alot of them and would much rather have Billy Sharp whos at least proven at this level which i think is what we need up front not another gamble ala Simpson and mclean to some extent.

Mckenna is playing well in that holding role so dont think we need this 8ft2 midfield destroyer some are looking for buying that might just take us away from playing decent football a little.

By the sounds of it De Vries and Sharp sound the most likely and id be more than happy at those 2 signings to add to what is already a good squad.

ok fair enough as thats your opinion which i respect. put it this way i would not swap for Bamba - Mills or St.ledger. Value for money they are NOT. imo.

yes most players go off ther boil at times. if this is Chester's time off form that will do for me mate.

It's a bit of a weird one, but apparently Man City had scouts at the Burnley game, they left as soon as Stewart was subbed and they were back to watch him against Leicester.

Another winger to replace brady, a keeper to replace Gulacsi and possibly a proper target man (am i the only one that liked Rowan Vine?)

Mannone back would be class but couldn't see it happening

Sounds worrying but they must have a plethora of scouts so i wouldn't be too concerned.

There's also the fact that Stewart is a massive Man Utd fan to take into consideration, obviously money talks but i'm sure they'd be his 20th favourite premiership club to join.
