I thought the team played some good football in the first half, tired quickly second half and defended deeper and deeper. Bendy as I had said before, is another TAF, he doesn't really offer much, then hides out on the left wing. The rest of the players weren't too bad at all, just not fit enough.

My glass gentlemen couldn't be any fuller. My cup doth runneth over to be fair but that doesn't stop of being critical as well.

Mon heralds a brand new and exciting era imo but he will need all of that legendary management quality to turn us around. I truly believe if will but its going to be a long hard road nonetheless.

I'm quite sure that the fans who were the quickest to want Bruce out will also be the first to slag of MON should things not get better very quickly...

Well you can chalk myself off from that list. I won't be slagging Martin O'Neill off even if we were to be relegated this season.

We now have a fit and proper manager, a manager worthy of being provided adequate time to improve the clubs circumstances.

Yeah lets totally ignore the fact he was a clueless manager, with no tactical nous whatever.

I'm surprised that you genuinely believe that to be the case... Perhaps you don't genuinely believe that to be the case and just had some kind of belief that Steve Bruce is a competent manager? I was pleased that Bruce was sacked by Ellis Short due to his extremely poor track record along with the last 11 months which were a total shambles, leaving us 4th from bottom of the league. Nothing to do with him being a Geordie...

Nothing of the sort marra...I'm just writing an opinion that I believe is correct...I firmly believe that some people have more patience than others and that is not going to change because we have have a different manager...

The one thing that continuley annoys me is the sky cameras zooming in on Quinn and that is taking the XXXX if you ask me, and yet again another horror show. There is a lot of championship players there and Martin needs to address that in Jan, and sundays game is without doubt the match of the season (bigger than the derby next March) and i want every player to realise that to get on that pitch and play as if that if we lose we are down, i want too see a different midfield. that defence is woeful why are we so bad at defending crosses. We now have another bogey team like Everton, called Wolves.
Another question is when did we last win on SKY ?.

Well even though I gave Bruce every chance, even though I didn't want him from day one. (Based on his **** managerial career not him being a Skunk.)
The patience looking back, apart from the last few months, shown to Bruce was still evident even though personally I thought he didn't warrant it.

Why do some people feel the need to generate a 'lets feel sorry for Steve Bruce' brigade? I seem to recall Steve Bruce not displaying a great deal of sympathy for Pete Friar... All Pete Friar did was to highlight the mistakes that were being made on the training pitch leading to the 'mysterious injuries' that were occuring on an all to frequent basis. Live by the sword die by the sword.

Anyway, I'm sure Steve will be back in the game before too long as there are a few championship clubs that could do with a 'manager with experience'.

I'm away to pop the kettle on for a nice brew...

Mr RAWHite & Syd having read your postings over the last few months many of which were in support of Steve Bruce and a number even suggested he would turn it around. Can I ask if you still believe he should have been afforded more time? This is not a trick question I am just interested in how much time you would have gave him?

I think that in the end he had lost the plot, ran out of ideas and had to go... However, how much of a contributory factor that the lack of vocal support from the crowd towards him and the team played is debatable...

Surely support for a manager is driven by their success or failure? If a manager doesn’t deliver over a period of time then he can’t expect the plaudits.

Steve Bruce was given ample time and ammunition to get it right more than any SAFC manager I can think of. I believe he failed miserably and would have got us relegated.

I also believe in any fan base you get idiots that take matters to an unacceptable level, however, he didn’t help himself regardless of his Mag back ground.

Anyway it’s MON & our problem now and I sense a winning combination.
