Going to be honest. I tried hard not to give a monkey’s about this game, but once again whilst entertaining relations sneaked a few looks at this board!! Most encouraged by many comments and observations, it always pleases me to see a player come good like Sulemana, yes v Championship opponents, reduced in strength etc, but a win is a win, clean sheet too. I think that in this terrible season, we have to take days like today and give praise where it’s due, and enjoy the experience for a few hours before thinking what comes next.

With you on that, but I'd stick him up top again against United and see if it's a flash in the pan or not.

Also interesting to hear Juric say that he was out of shape a few weeks back, and that he's been working hard to get himself at the requisite levels again.

Why was he out of shape? I guess it’s hard to stay motivated in that Martin side, especially when he’s not playing. But that’s what the coaching staff should be doing, making sure everyone is as good as they can be.

I feel like none of them was particularly in shape.

Yeah I guess that football didn’t require fitness, just a squad of the most talented players in the world.

I always find it helpful watching the match with Jo Tessum and Adam Blackmore commentating. I learn so much from their insight and the comments about Sulemana and the coaching within the club was quite interesting with Tessum suggesting that this was not happening with Sulemana.

Have to say that this was an easy win today and you can question whether this win actually merited improvement. It was commented that Swansea still played to the system instilled by Russell Martin. I really am starting to feel that he should have been ditched after promotion. The Radio Solent team seemed to be quite negative about the influence if Russell Martin and as if they had insight which was not common knowledgeable.

Yeah looks bad on previous coaching team for sure.

Also an individual responsibility though imo. You're a professional athlete...

Honestly, they didn't deserve more than 12k there today given Brentford especially.

Being a bit long in the tooth (actually I am a bit short in that department!) I am one of the many pensioners that has lost the winter supplement and being a bit impecunious, I was never going to let that prevent me from buying a ticket for this game. I paid full whack (no concessions) and wanted the ability, that when we step in to Wembley in May, that I can honestly say that I was there today when we beat Swansea. Just my idea of beiing a true supporter, but I guess, most 21st Century on line posters these days would say I am stupid, that is probably true too, I put my stupidity down to watching the Saints since the mid 1950's that is enough to send anyone around the twist...

Forgot they didn't offer concessions for older people. Disgraceful really.

How long til they bin them off entirely?

No such thing as a 'true' supporter either imo. If you support your local club then you're a true supporter as far as I'm concerned.

    Completely agree .

I would say I’m a fan of, because football is not my first love in sport , haven’t been to a since we last got promoted , yes I can afford it .

And I’m fine with being a fan .

I do agree libby , if you support your local team., or you follow one team all the time no matter what the reason , then you are a supporter .

You can be a fan, you can be a supporter, there is no law that says you have to be both. I draw the line at boycotts because that means you are being neither.

Not really sure there was an actual boycott as such tbh. People just had various reasons for not going ranging from us being complete dog **** to it being priced too highly. Imo a fair chunk of the people who were shouting for a boycott are the people who don't go regularly anyway.

I wouldn't rule boycotts out entirely, they can be a powerful message, but we're not near that point at the minute as far as I'm concerned. I'd support them for sure in certain situations.

We all have our reasons for going, or not going, to games. I’m not boycotting anything, but I felt no incentive at all to buy a ticket to St Mary’s in January. Brentford broke me I think.

To everyone who went yesterday, you deserved to be rewarded for your loyalty, and I’m glad you were.

Yep I'm glad we got a nice and comfortable win for everyone who did turn up. Might be our only one this season!

Think there's a combination of factors for it being so low yesterday. Us being terrible is the main one but being just after Christmas and the high prices obviously played their part too.

I myself couldn't justify it after a very expensive 6 weeks or so leading up to it with the Liverpool cup game and 4 aways. Said yesterday morning though I was gutted to not be going.

Hopefully they price it better for the Burnley match and we can get a decent crowd in. Such a low crowd shows how wrong they got it when compared to other similar sized clubs.

Just want to say that it’s absolutely shocking that we were right and our players were unfit.

Hideous management from top to bottom

I thought Cam Archer looked like he had too many mince pies. Perhaps that's why he's not starting?

I read this as it was an isolated case with Sulemana. Probably due to a combination of barely playing and having a fairly lengthy injury. There has been no suggestion from the club or media that there is an issue with fitness in the squad.
