Think it could've been one of those "injuries" so that the coach can get instructions into the players
Got a hand to the first. Probably unlucky. Thought he was poor for the second. Came out on an angle but was really really narrow for some reason and was just passed round.
Could do nowt with either goal in my humble opinion. Man City far too good for them when they step it up a bit.
Tough one for Matty, think there was only 1 or 2 he realistically might have done better, and even that’s being hyper critical. Good save for the last kick of the game.
Harsh lesson for Young that. That kind of result can be demoralising for some so I hope he has the correct support system. Didn't think he did anything wrong mind, City have been getting them kind of results for years against much better sides than Salford. Needs to concentrate on the football that matters.
Just watched Triantis's highlights from yesterday - very impressive I had several mates at the game and 1 messaged me saying 'the Australian Rodri was unreal today' I didn't see him as a championship CM in the future, thought he would become a championship CB tbh but I'm changing my mind The last month or so he has really improved as a CM, his scanning of the field before receiving the ball is a million times better than it was and his touch is much improved - he's taking his touch in stride or away from opponents He's now one of teh top ranked CMs in the league Now the standard is poor up here and he has unreal competition for places but all we can ask with loan moves is that a player develops and he really is kicking on massively
