Match Day Thread Sunderland AFC v Stoke City FC – Saturday 11th January 2025 - KO 15:00

Quite happy tbf, played well with a changed line up against full strength Stoke. Minutes for those who need it and valuable rest in the important run in

 

It was the awful ball back from Samed that left him in a difficult spot. Should have done better though.

 

The young lad done good, very calm so a bit of credit to him. Always gonna put pressure on ourselves when we go 3 at the back and a C/M in the middle of the defence

 

The lad’s been blowing out of his arse for half an hour. Not the time to get a suicide pass.

 

The players don’t look that bothered tbh …

… they’ve played it as a friendly.

 

Any time he drops into the back line he suffers from duels and tackling. It's not a slander against him but he isn't that type of player. Plus when he is knackered you get that weak defending that lead to the goal.

 

I'd be more bothered if I was a stoke fan watching their team that scored 2 goals from our mistakes and couldn't conjure up anything from our reserves and u21 s
