Back to the surfing thing, wtf is my kid on doing surfing in January? Is this a real thing for people who have never surfed before?

 

Heated Gillet was a hit.

Had to pop it on medium, battery lasted long enough.

 

A lot of people surf year round, myself included. But the surf schools don’t usually get going until around Easter. I know that my friend who runs one does 1-1 and small groups outside of the main season, but yeah Jan can be brutal.

I got in last week and couldn’t feel my toes for about 4 hours afterwards

but steroids don’t help. Have the bike setup in garage on trainer for Zwift so will be doing 20 miles on that every other day before restarting gym in Feb when ****ers have given up

A treat because my blood results were good. And I walked from hospital back to park and ride, but think I need to push the car home to burn off the calories.

 

New phone tomorrow, they just called me and said I can have the same deal (unlimited everything) same price but new phone so Pixel 9 on the way.

 

Two things I found with my new pixel 8 - they don't give a charging plug but give you the cable, thankfully I still had my very first pixel plug. Also no phono socket for headphones, appreciate most people probably use bluetooth these days - so I had to buy a small c type adapter.

Seperate matter I bought a full case for it, because it feels bigger and bulkier than my other phone, and I'm concerned I'm likely to drop it, although might buy a half case sometime, when I see one I like, to see if it is ok.

 

oh you have bought the adaptor already. Just an FYI you can get usb C type head phones.

I bought my pair in HK as i didn't really like wireless. Saying that, my sister gave me some wireless headphones and it does make a difference if you are like me and don't have youtube premium. I like to listen to music when washing up or tidying the house and you can't have youtube in the background if you don't have premium. The missus doesn't like my racket either so i need to put the headphones on
