It was mind. They just got on a run and things kept going their way. But they are rebounding sharpish now.
Horrible club , horrible team, good at what they do , and its in footballs interest to see them fail , and the further they fall the better.
Nottingham Forest away tomorrow. Both clubs have bigger priorities but I think that’s a home banker, another defeat incoming for Luton
I don’t bet but have you got any home bankers right lately? If you are a betting man you must be living in a tent by now
If anyone thought Luton weren't in trouble, they are now. As an ex-PL club, seemingly with untold riches, they've gone for a cheap managerial option who, so far, has made no difference ... ... two efforts on target at home to Millwall on Saturday. They don't seem to be attracting good signings and their upcoming fixtures are horrendous, for a team in their position. Away to Sunderland, Watford, Burnley, Cardiff, Hull, Stoke, Derby, West Brom, etc. Home to Sheff Utd, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Boro, Leeds, Blackburn, etc. Nearly all promotion chasers, including the top four ... ... or relegation rivals including the other four of the bottom five. No new manager bounce, in fact he's as bad as Edwards so far ... if they go down their 'football' will suit L1 perfectly.
I didn’t even think they would be promotion chasers but certainly didn’t think they would be so bad. Atleast it will make double relegation “doing a Luton” as people will forget about ours
That was on the 1980s, they were in division 4 when we were in division 3. They had a double relegation in 2011/12 & 2012/13, but came back in 2013/14.
What makes it even worse is that it was 'Plymouth and who else' ... ... but Plymouth, over the last 6 games, have picked up 4 points to Luton's 1. Plymouth go there, a fortnight on Wednesday, and a win could easily send Luton bottom. What's strange is that they're supposed to have made £200m, or whatever, and they've gone to L1 for their new manager and their signings. If I was a Luton supporter I'd start to wonder about the holding company and their creepy majority shareholder. When I first went there, in the 70's, they were talking about a new ground
They've been talking about a new ground for over 70 years and other than a few mock up proposals it never gets any further than talk. I reckon this new ground proposal will fall through as well, especially if they get relegated, and all that happens is "the Kenny" gets tarted up a bit.
