Pretty much the only sort of incoming I'd expect us to make this window. Low risk, high reward. Wonder how it works with the cost of the player etc. when it's a deal between two clubs that have the same owners?
More money from Saints to one of their foreign clubs, brilliant. Definitely paid market value for hin Another for the crazy world of Sports Republic signings
Is it? Not our TV money? Our gate receipts? Money from our player sales? If this is from Dragans pocket then so be it, he can waste his money however he wants. I'm more than confident this is money from SFC income though. Either way, complete waste of a squad number and spanking more money on teenagers
My guess is that it is probably money generated from the areas you suggest, but that we are only able to spend it on new players because we are safe in the knowledge that Solak will bail us out if and when. So a little bit of both. But I might be completely wrong.
Spending £3m on highly rated youngsters is not why we are in this mess. Especially as we will know everything there is to know about him as he is part of our network.
Feels a good bit of business given his international pedigree and number of senior appearances at centre back at a young age. I'd expect more of the same tbh. Feels more about raising the level of the 'squad' ahead of a championship season
Edwards just been loaned out & we buy another. It looks as tho they’re just stockpiling any available , potentially good, relatively cheap, youngsters. Defenders will always fit the cheap model.
Where’s £3m come from? Seems a lot for essentially a youth player from what? The French third division? I was expecting less than £1m.
So based on that, Arsenal should have only paid only a few million for Chamberlain when they bought him from Saints?
I'd suggest spending on kids is exactly why we're where we are! I'll bet £20 to the charity of your choice that he's going to be another pointless SR signing
Very different scenarios. We were a big club for that level, a rich club with big ambitions and had just been promoted. We could demand a higher price. Attackers are also always worth more, the upside if they reach their potential is far bigger. We have supposedly been up against PSR, we know we are likely to lose KWP for nothing, will have to take big losses on the likes of Sulemana, Tall Paul, even likely a few million on BBD if we chose to sell, are about to lose £100m with relegation AND the biggest difference, we are essentially ‘buying’ from ourselves. So yeah £3m, particularly in this scenario seems like a lot to me, if that figure is true. Only seen it on here?
Dragan loves wasting cash doesn’t he Absolutely pointless signing for that price. I look forward to him never playing a first team game and ending up in ligue 2 based on our recent scouting capabilities
