Been capped by Croatia already, and fans rate him as being the next Modric/ wonderkid to come out of their country. He does look very good, would cover right back, centre back, right wing and centre mid!

I can see him going to Arsenal.

    Not quite Andy...

Bassong was a key part of our very solid defense the year we came 4th, so to say he has been garbage is unfair, his chances have been limited since the arrival of Gallas, the development of Kaboul, and the semi-recovery of King, not to mention we also have Dawson. While we don't consider him a key player anymore I think the majority of Spurs fans are very happy to have him in the squad, he's extremely capable for a 5th choice CB, and would probably start for Arsenal or Chelsea given their current defenses.

I would basically break the bank to get Chris Samba. He's proven, he's class. Then I'd let Simpson go and put Saylor at right back next year in contnetion with Raylor for rb. Get another left back.

You seem to be confusing Simpson (decent enough this year, saved us a point at OT) with Raylor (****). We desperately need Manga Pingu-Mngny and Erik Pieters for starters, with probably Liam Ridgewell or Seb Bassong depending on price/availability. We absolutely need 3, because I cannot think that anyone in football can see Mike Williamson as some kind of 3rd choice Prem level CB.

Sadly, we cannot afford Samba or Cahill. Maybe when we sell Tiote for £15-20m, Derek can make an "audacious" offer (around £4m) for either of them, then not quite get them, before finally promising that the "money will be reinvested in the squad". Just like it was last summer.

Boswinga from Chelsea (though possibly on loan due to wage demands) as Chelsea don't want him any more.

    Samba, for obvious reasons.

Ridgewell for his ability to play both CB and LB.

    Now

    Boswinga Samba Colo Raylor

Simpson Perch Ridgewell Santon as backup

    When Taylor's back

Taylor Samba Colo Raylor/Santon (hopefully settled in by then)

Simpson Willo Ridgewell Santon/Raylor as backup

Wouldn't want Bassong back. He behaved like a **** before he left and particularly in the now famous Orient game. Lets not go backwards, there are plenty centre halfs out there

Don't get the Samba love - did people not see him when Blackburn played up here a few weeks ago - he was really poor and extremely slow, and surprisingly got beaten in the air by Ba for almost everything.

Mr T or possibly Jack Black, and definately anyone from Shoalin Soccer

Sriously though, I'm not sure. Perhaps Carr can unearth another gem. I certainly hope so.

Perhaps Cabaye and Hatem could tempt Sakho? Seems unlikely we'd get him from PSG, but then I would have said the same about Hatem, Cabaye and Marvaux (and their respective previous teams)

Absolutely no chance. First choice at PSG, his hometown club, he is captain, has broken into the France squad, they have megabucks for players and wages, likely to be playing CL next season etc. Plus if he did go he'd have every leading club in the world after him. I know what you mean about Benni and Cabaye but this is a different kettle of fish. This guy is probably the hottest defensive property in Europe.

Anyone seen much of him that can add to that? My mate is french and still watches their league, rates him highly but doesn't think we'd get him.

EDIT: ^^ fair enough mate <ok> - thought I would throw it out there since Etien is always banging on about him lol

Though after doing a little research (ie Wikipedia lol) aparently Hatem has spun a few rings round him in the past lol

    Sakho?

Very, very good player who is completley happy with PSG and would cost a fortune to lure away.
