That’s great to see. Wont (or shouldn’t ) be needed for the weekend but we’ll definitely need him for the NLD.
You also forgot the 'we only had 10 men on the field when they scored' bollox, quite overlooking that it was the Pool player trying to milk the foul by feigning injury that meant he had to go off! That's almost CL SF Onana-level irony right there!
...and it has emerged that van Dijk got pissy with one of our mascots for asking if he'd like to join us Shortly afterwards, his father made him call talkBALLS to apologise to Radu & Archie!
Considering all the Liverpool victim rhetoric circulating the media today, this is quite a decent balanced article on the BBC website. 'Bergvall is headline act as young Spurs show incredible maturity' - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c2050z6y15ro
That's the bit bit that says 'unless there was a clear opportunity to correct an incorrectly given card and/or to further generate a conspiracy theory about Liverpool'
Official announcement from the PGMOL on the Bergvall incident ... Having spoken at length with the officials on duty yesterday, it appears that they collectively mistook the Spurs home kit for the Liverpool "third" kit. Given the latter are automatically excused of the harshest punishment for such infringements, Bergvall was therefore allowed to continue on the field of play. The PGMOL wish to apologise deeply for this error, and have duly agreed not to take their payments this month from Liverpool FC.
Thought we played really well last night. It was nice to see us replicate the performance we saw in the 2nd half against Newcastle quite seamlessly. Spence and Bergvall were outstanding. Solanke also did a brilliant job, and his performances continue to get better with each game. Whilst we’d never want to see any of our players injured, this situation has provided a run of opportunities which has done so much for so many players who previously weren’t getting the minutes. Dare I say it, but it looks like this fringe group look like they have started to gel. There’s been a lot of criticism over Dragusin, but he and Gray have actually formed a decent partnership, and I think Porro needs some credit in how he’s adapted his play to accommodate the skill set of 2 entirely different CB’s. Also nice to see another solid performance from a GK. - Kinsky did everything required, and his ball playing ability is something we haven’t seen in a very long time. Anfield will be tough, and I’m not sure a 1-0 lead will be enough, but we couldn’t have asked for much more last night. If we can fill a few gaps in the squad over the next few weeks, we might not have a bad season after all.
thought your GK did really well , particularly considering he had only been with you for 17 mins , with the second save from Nunez being the highlight .
I personally thought the highlight was watching him spray passes everywhere using both feet. I don't think I've ever seen a GK that comfortable on either foot. Not even Neuer looks that composed on his left.
