Just my view but we are hitting the point where the new manager thing is going to wear off very quick and the can do no wrong view of slot will go.

It's looking like a case of a manager who's got a set of players he wants and a set that he doesn't want.

He only has about 15 or 16 he really wants maybe and the rest are only put on in absolute crisis.

    Alisson
    Kelleher
    Trent
    Robertson
    Vvd
    Konate
    Gravenberch
    Macallister
    Szoboszlai
    Jones
    Diaz
    Gakpo
    Jota
    Salah

    That's 14 who played a lot.

    Not sure
    Gomez
    Nunez
Bradley (why was he not put on for trent)
    Tsimikas (maybe trusts him)

Players he doesn't seem to trust
    Endo
    Morton
    Chiesa
    Elliott
    Quansah

If you are those 5 players you.might as well get your move in the summer (hang on for a medal if any actually materialise)

Think Bradley is 100% rated, was just back from injury and I think the noise in hooking Trent early was the real reason (shouldn't have been, but there we go).

Confused with Elliott, he'd be wanted by other top clubs.

    Maybe so.

I couldn't beleive we went to psurs and left that mess of a performance by jones alone for 100 mins.

    We used all 5 subs.

Jota off - he's been back a whie and did ok but was subbed
Gakpo off. he wasn't looking too free with his movement and running so jaded.
    quansah off - enforced.
    Bradely off - maybe preplanned.
Macallister off - he was gone complete and should have come off.

We ended up with Trent as a main attacking addition with nunez and diaz. the 4th sub was already used so our thought was take macallister off and put knoate on to move endo.

I honest to god have to wonder why.

elliott sat there and watched jones absolutely stink the place out and watched salah put in his worst perofrmance of the season as well.

Some things that were obvious for me:

    1. Ring rust.Tsimkas wasn't up to that game as he was very rusty but he plugged away. Jota was fairly rusty too. Endo was miles off as well.

    2. Triedness/sloppyness/ponderousness. The players who should be fully fit senior players were looking very jaded now.

    3. Confidence. Both VVD and endo were trying to buy themsevles time on the ball by dropping off or pushing the ball back 5 yards and it was absolutely killing us. VVD stopped passing to tsimikas unless he was totally free after his complete **** ups. endo was massively sturggling on the ball as a cb which was mad. We bascially were going backwards under no real press pressure after 20 mins or so, just dropping off looking for space rather than speedning up the passed.

Thier goal again we might have been down to 10 but diaz dropped to LB, so what is konate running half the width of the pitch to get to solanke means vvd was not doing that and a midfielder ran through to finihs so where was endo and gravenberch?

In the end i couldn't beleive spurs didn't score 2 or 3 and we could have scroped out of this 0-0 or 1-1 if nunez had luck. 0-1 isn't a total disaster at this point in time but honeslty I can't see us winning by 2 goals that easily on the 4th feb. it might be ok, the fa cup 4th round might be after that game and another chance to rest maybe who knows.

It just looks like the klopp january wall being hit again. The side looked TIRED.

we needed this tie put to bed.

I've only just realised that the bloody Forrest game is mid-week <doh>

I thought the first 11 were getting a nice 10 days without a game here.

I wanted us to have a rest and play kids v southampton and not bother with this but we are stuck into it.

no senior player shoudl be near the fa cup game. but after seeing the drivel served up a few need minutes like tsimikas and endo and maybe cheisa and jota and elliott.

90 mins would at least make one or two an option.

    My team for forest

    Alisson
    Trent Konate VVD Robertson
    Gravenberch Macallister
    Salah Gravenberch gakpo
    Jota

PLayers i want to see for accrington

    Kelleher
    Bradley endo Nallo Tsimikas
    nyoni Morton
    Chiesa elliott jota
    Danns

that would do me. i couldn't give a **** if we lost but i wouldn't want to start that precendent that losing to a league 2 side in the fa cup is acceptbale.

The last two performances cannot be dismissed. you don't recover form and eneergy quickly so peopel need to realise that that lead in the league is nothing now. We could easily go into feburary in 2nd or 3rd.

    We have to prioritise.

I heard a lot about trent v utd.

Slot made comment about the fans.

I think one element thsts not been discussed is the fact that man utd at anfield is one of the most sold tickets of the season.

You could.easily have had a lot of entitlement and not fans in that main stand giving players grief.

He had 100% support from the genuine fans in the away end in this gsme and again at anfield today.
