    That’s how I’ve kept it this season on a spreadsheet; only using 5,3,1 points for the top 3. Currently on that system it’s;

    Pandur 38
    Hughes 33
    Coyle 28
    Palmer 25
    Belloumi 16
    Puerta 15
    Pedro 11

which mirrors the points totals, although the fact that Coyle is above Hughes on points is interesting.

He was the one I thought would move (maybe a bit more) tbh - but think that table reflects a more recognisable position across the whole season. Am fully expecting Pedro and Puerta to keep moving up that table between now and May

So…I have now counted all the votes per game and will update the table based on an average points per vote system.

This will have an impact as for example Puerta got MOTM v Swansea with 241 points (59 votes). However, Belloumi was MOTM v Oxford with 96 points (18 votes).

This isn’t an exact science as I had to round up and down for people voting for example for Pandur 3 times, or 1 player, the fans and the weather. It should however be more reflective.

It does show how wins impact the voting…46, 50 and 56 during our 3 game winning run & Walters last 4 games… 18, 29, 14 and 26. All probably down to avoiding this place like the plague when we lose :emoticon-0105-wink:

Interestingly at the halfway point our podcast voting has the top 3 as:

    Pandur
    Palmer
    Coyle

Palmer surprises me a bit but then I look above and he's 4th in the votes from here so he must have had more good games than I recall.

Hughes is 7th for us by comparison.

At the rate we're going now I'd hazard a guess Puerta will be right up there by the end of the season.

Coyle had an excellent start to the season despite dropping off substantially and Pandur kept us in games when we were very open earlier in the season too.

Can see Alzate and hopefully Kamara climbing up higher in the rankings too.

I think the two best indivdual performances are

    Pandur v qpr
    Belloumi v cardiff

Agree re; Pandur - a few people went for Millar which lowered his score a bit.

Yea i think cause we won that game 3-1
It gives other players for scoring etc

But the saves at 0-0 kept us from losing 100%

    I would probably exclude those who haven’t played a set % of the games as it inflates some players who only played 1 game or minutes off the bench…however, here you go;

Divided by % of minutes played
    1. Palmer 0.61
    2. Millar 0.39
    3. Belloumi 0.37
    4. Pandur 0.37
    5. Hughes 0.35
    6. Alzate 0.30
    7. Coyle 0.29
    8. Zambrano 0.27
    9. Puerta 0.26
    10. Jarvis 0.26
    11. Burstow 0.21
    12. Pedro 0.19
    13. Seri 0.19
    14. Kamara 0.15
    15. Longman 0.13
    16. Omur 0.12
    17. Mehlem 0.12
    18. Jones 0.11
    19. Giles 0.09
    20. Drameh 0.09
    21. Simons 0.08
    22. Jacob 0.06
    23. Burns 0.05
    24. McLoughlin 0.04
    25. Slater 0.04
    26. Vaughan 0.03

I was only half-serious, but thanks. I guess that shows how bad everyone else was in the couple of games that Palmer seemed to be single-handedly trying to make something happen

    Update (includes Sheff Utd)

    1. Pandur 35.78 (-)
    2. Coyle 27.50 (-)
    3. Palmer 22.05 (-)
    4. Pedro 17.57 (+3)
    5. Alzate 17.49 (+5)
    6. Hughes 17.35 (-2)
    7. Puerta 16.54 (-)
    8. Belloumi 14.76 (-3)
    9. Jones 13.23 (-)
    10. Millar 10.65 (-2)
    11. Kamara 8.05 (-)
    12. McLoughlin 6.92 (+9)
    13. Burstow 6.02 (-1)
    14. Omur 5.43 (-1)
    15. Drameh 5.33 (-1)
    16. Mehlem 4.69 (-1)
    17. Zambrano 4.56 (-1)
    18. Simons 4.36 (-1)
    19. Slater 4.24 (-)
    20. Giles 3.56 (-2)
    21. Longman 2.54 (-1)
    22. Gelhardt 2.47 (New Entry)
    23. Crooks 2.39 (New Entry)
    24. Vaughan 2.24 (+4)
    25. Bedia 1.81 (-3)
    26. Jarvis 1.81 (-3)
    27. Burns 1.22 (-1)
    28. Jacob 0.82 (-3)
    29. Seri 0.77 (-5)
    30. Estupinan 0.07 (-3)
    31. Rushworth 0.07 (New Entry)
    32. Joseph 0.03 (New Entry)
    To note

    Movers and Shakers
: Pedro and Alzate as expected making moves northwards. Palmers impact while he played is surprising as he still remains 3rd in the voting. Puerta while not climbing the table, has closed the points gap on those above him.

Upwardly mobile: McLoughlin is the big mover - up 9 places over the last 5 games.

Impact: Gelhardt and Crooks making an immediate impact by jumping ahead of 8 players who have already represented us this season.

Mr Consistent: Alzate currently has the longest run of votes across games, having received at least 1 vote across his last 12 games. McLoughlin (5) and Jones (4) are the nearest to this.

Team game: Votes across the last run of games has been closer - Puerta v Doncaster being the stand out performance with a score of 4.19. This was followed by Alzate at Millwall at 3.51.

I think this is the case and also that many saw it as a way to put the boot into Allsop

Pandur even got a score of 0.10 against Sheff Utd and while he did ok, surely there was at least 3 players that deserved votes ahead of him.

He also got 0.10 against Leeds despite conceding 3 and having the lowest rating out of all 11 players on Fotmob. He did however, save a certain goal with his head - and for that 1 action got some MOTM votes.

Pandur v Leeds is an example of how it's so hard to reduce a player's performance to a number or a simple 1-2-3 vote. He had such a mixed bag of a game and it comes down to what you prioritise. Like you say, the save with his head at 2-3 right before we equalised was enormous, and is rightly remembered.
