Wasnt brilliant yesterday, but we have to remember he gave himself a target of 6 months to adapt to the premier league (which is fair imo), and he hasnt had that yet - shame we have to rely on him now and put him under the spotlight when he isnt ready. The quicker Wickham and Campbell back the better.
Sorry to come over here, as it's not really my business, but he looks **** to me. Apart from a couple of decent skill moves, he looks weak as piss and average.
Did you read anything I wrote? about how is not ready? He was poor yesterday but showed glimpses of what he can do (that back heel for our goal was canny imo), and he hasn't given the time needed to adapt - 6 months on his own assessment but anything up to 9 months will be needed. Unfortunately we need him now, but that would be Bruce's fault for not buying a "ready to go" striker this summer.
Ji wasn't outstanding yesterday but did show glimmers of class. I recall him crossing the ball a couple of times yesterday, spot on for someone to run onto and bury. Bendtner just stood and watched! Too many times Ji was looking to hit it into the box and no one was there. He is then made to look a prat when he tries to hold onto the ball when the defenders pounce. I just don't understand where Bendtner's head was at yesterday.
It's his first start, we need to give him time, sadly the way our season has gone the chance of him being eased into the side as we sit in the top half is not there. It's sink or swim in a relegation battle which does nothing for a players confidence. Personally I'd like to see Noble given his chance he is scoring for fun in the reserves and deserves a first team call ip ahead of Ji.
Exactly... Ji was breaking with pace, making himself available but there wasn't anybody on his wavelength to work with. Bendtner would have made Rooney look poor yesterday. We need two experienced strikers and a taxi for Bendtner back to Arsenal. If Campbell is fit and able to get upto pace straight away then one experienced striker in January will be enough good work for this season. Lets just hope that time is on our side because Martin will need it to assess the situation and recruit a couple of players in January. Hopefully we are still sitting above the bottom 3 come the end of January and if we are I think we will escape.
I agree - if it wasn't that we have no other fit strikers who are supposedly premiership class I would be sending him back. I cannot see Martin O'Neill standing for his lack of effort. At least Ji was trying and did make a few good touches and headers, just nobody read them or could be bothered to run for them. He is obviously too lightweight right now but we knew he wasn't ready - that's not his fault, it's Bruce's and Black's. In case any of the Ji knockers hadn't noticed we were 1-0 up when Ji went off and let in the first goal 3 mins later. We completely lost all shape when Elmo came on and maybe things would have been different if Noble had come on then instead. But isn't that the story of our whole season, in fact the story of Bruce's reign - mystifying substitutions that confuse the team as much as the supporters. Oh well today is the start of the next stage of the magic carpet ride and, as another thread says, the darkest time is just before the dawn.
Hopefully Cambell will get some reserve team action soon think they play Thursday. I'd a hazard a guess he may be back in contention for the qpr game.
At least he only posted some random picture of a young black guy? Rather than his normal posting of underage young girls.
Ji is a propaganda exercise, and a useful one at that, but he is also gonna be a damn good adittion to the squad... Can't and won't knock him for yesterday, give him some game time, then people can judge him... Tash's man in black and white is just a random picture of someone who will never make it i'm guessing, cos i don'tknow who it is.. Is it a reserve player or something?
When he fails he never returns to a thread mate, (which means every thread he posts in. ) so we may never know who the unknown young man is.
