I have been in London this weekend, and unfortunately missed my first game of the season, and it sure was a good one to miss by the sounds of it. I've been lapping it up! Anyways, I was in Leicester Square on Saturday night in TGI Friday's and guess who walked in, Jay Simpson, with a few of his Millwall buddies. Its recently been his birthday so maybe they was out celebrating, but just thought I'd let you lot know that he seemed he was happy, constant laughing with his mates. Anton Ferdinand was also in there, but nothing to do with Simmo. Cheers
He obviously is more settled down there, so I agree better sell him if we can get the right money, and use the money for another striker. I just wonder what Waggy will be thinking if Beckford and Nuggent are Lesta's first chose pairing up front, to be sitting on the bench?
100% agree mate, I don't rate him as a player, would love Sharp to come here, however I assume there will be a lot of clubs after him. With his contract running out at the end of the season, Doncaster have to accept some sort of money or risk him leaving at the end of the season for nothing. If he is to leave, it will be on Deadline Day of the January window.
Sharp isn't out of contract this season, he's contracted to Donny until July 2013. He'll cost over £3m, I'd love it if we paid it, but I can't see it.
well from whats been rumoured so far, Is Billy Sharp one of the players that has rung our Nicky's mobile ? I would suggest that 2 million up front would get Sharp in Jan with add-ons subject to PL status and goals etc etc. We shall now soon find out how Big a draw Nicky Barmby is. There are some players who go to a club due to the manager and NOT the money. Maybe Billy Sharp is one of them.? He is young and fits the make up of Citys team. BS would be a seamless addition. So there.....Dorus De Vries(GK) - Billy Sharp and Macheda & Brady on loan til the seasons end. Job done.
Considering that Donny turned down offers well over that from Ipswich and Saints and the offers had to get to £3.25m before Saints had a bid accepted, then that's obviously what they're looking for. Add to that the fact they are now in a relegation battle, the owners are loaded and he's their best striker, why on earth would they now sell him for less?
Just if Ticklers on the money and Billy wants to come and play for his (alleged) mate NB, a transfer request and/or tantrum that would leave a 3 year old impressed could help swing things a bit.
i never said they would. the add-ons could be set to cover whever fee they choose 2 accept. things have changed at donny since the summer and changed big time. all donny are now is a shop window for PL rejects looking to get back there or to more fancied clubs. whatever happens happens. we dont have much longer to wait do we. hope Billy Sharp bags a hat trick satdee week when Lesta pay them a visit. Lol.
i am not the only one who had heard this PB. but i would love to know like many who else has been ringing our Nicky. the fee apart, Sharp would not have to change his life to come to City. He only lives an hour away anyway.
A transfer request could go in and it could make his exit more likely, but not necessarily to us, unless we meet their valuation. And where has this Nicky and Billy are mates thing come from anyway?
who is to say what has gone on already ? hence why the rumours are flying about. as for BS and NB being mates ? well i dont know for sure just what i have been told and heard. time will tell.
They're completely different ages and have never been at the same club, I doubt they've even met, other than on the pitch, but you never know. I still think it's probably bollocks.
yes exactly. we don t know for sure. but whatever is going on should be known within the next few weeks.
