https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-set-find-out-true-30718889 More on finances Lfc will report as usual on 1st March. The psr will come.out end of March with time for appeals. I do not expect lfc to have an issue however we don't get to see the psr numbers until then I would suggest we will be in the -50 to -80million in losses range. Why? Anfield road reduced capacity was a 4mil per game loss in revenue for a period. No cl put an 80mil hole.in finances. Transfers was about an 80mil net spend. All this adds up. We are about -15 in psr terms for the prior years.
No he never did bar a couple preseason early games for 45mins. He just never kicked on in man's football when given the loans. Some players just don't.
Explains why we were only able to get a chubby Italian has-been in the summer transfer window. Hopefully we can at least afford a chubby Brazilian has-been next summer.
Maybe. I have been wondering about this since we exited the europa early. We spent more than i expected we would be able to get szoboszlai, gravenberch and macallister so seeing a summer of zero spend in effect was not a shock. I'd hope keeping it tight allows us to get back on track this summer and retain someone
Yes, although in retrospect, It wasn't really a summer of zero spend, just a summer of zero spend on players. We had to sign a new manager and heavily replace large portions of the coaching staff... I'm sure the costs involved in all that equalled the costs of bringing at least one medium-fee player to the club.
We paid 10mil for slot. A bargain. No idea what we spent on the rest but the annoying thing is we won't know for another 14 months when those accounts are published. My guesswork for the summer was here https://not606.com/threads/liverpool-fc-changes-summer-2024-tracker-thread.412984/ 0.6mil net spend in theory. Or at least in terms of cash flow. I was surprised we didn't sell more like morton tbh. Carvalho, Clark and van den Berg look like good sales so far. Nothing showing a massive club error anywhere. They paid for slot and chiesa (the dream team)
I expect more of this type of signing tbh. I hope that I’m wrong but I don’t think that we’ll be splashing big on any one player soon.
this one makes sense as its classic target the relegated club stuff. He looked alright when we played them. a bit of a light weight anthony gordon. goes down easy but has pace and upside value. We cannot do what every other big club does as we are not run by people who allow debt to be run up. we have to do things differently. Right now we invested big in 3 CMs. 2 of them IMO are worth double what e paid for them right now. Gravenberch and macallister. One is not as his fee was large and he hasn't scored as many as thought (szoboszlai) We will spend big enough to get a good player but we will want upside in them. Gakpo and dia but are worht more than we paid right now but contracts will be an issue(diaz) Nunez is worth half at most. I think we overpaid for nunez and will be going back to buying protential from here. The biggest single improvement we made as a team is buying VVD and alisson. The finished goods for top dollar. almost everyone else was data driven with upside value. Konate Robertson Gravenberch Macallister Gakpo Diaz Salah even look back; mane was the same. Peopel turned him down (utd) and we got him cheapish and he looked an instant bargain its a long term strategy.
