Yep FT. Game time is valuable alright. But Rigg is only seventeen, and I think too much football in a young, growing players legs is worth avoiding. Especially for the player in the long term. We have to look after them and be seen to be doing that I'd say.

Jobe has an ideal rest with his ban coinciding with the international break. Chris is getting one now, and that's a good thing for him.

Not easy, but a bit of rotation helps in all sorts of ways if we can keep the quality level high. That's a job for someone else thankfully!

This is the hard bit of the job they started. I think the intention is to hold who they can hold, but when they sell, get top dollar. As they go on, a la, Brighton, or Brentford for instance, when another team comes for a player, they pay what we ask .

It won't always be £120m for a decent midfielder as in Caicedo, but I'd think that's the plan. Hopefully, including getting up, getting a good start and staying up, or getting up second time and doing it then.

I must say though, that for me, the Premier League is a soulless thing. Not missed at all, though I see the paradox that implies.

Reputable poster on RTG has said we are in talks for a striker from the PL loan, hinting that it’s Vinicius from Fulham

Potentially the way Isador has hit the ground running and possibly even looks like becoming permanent, might have changed the profile of the new striker they want.

Completely disagree that this is a generational opportunity. To me that implies that it'll not be as good for us for decades if we miss out. The truth is that the way that we are setting up the club, we would expect to be up there challenging next season - even if we do lose 4-5 of our brightest and best. And while we may not be straight back up to the same level in 25/26 if we do miss out, I'd expect us to be in the ballpark. And I wouldn't bet against us being better placed in the future. With this SAFC, 'now or never' simply doesn't exist IMO.

Wonder if he was never our 1st choice and we only had him on a list of potential targets

Yeh, agree with this. To be fair by generational opportunity I was referring specifically to having Rigg and Jobe in midfield. I think its rare to have two genuine teenage future England internationals in your midfield. And I think we have a rare opportunity to have both of them be Sunderland players for years.
