I changed mine from a big rocket going up to a little rocket going up less quickly. Now it should a crashed rocket. I will google ‘crashed rocket’ right now.
Big meeting tomorrow according the Saints Podcast - about transfers and everything, good job there's no urgent problems at the club otherwise they'd have to really get moving. I don't actively search stuff about Saints out on the Internet, has there been any statement from the club other than THB saying he didn't like losing 5-0 much? Have the geniuses running the club said 'we apologise for the sub-standard season' or 'we think we broke it too much'.
Was chatting about this at the weekend and an interesting question came up. Is the use of VAR a ruling that is imposed by the people running the respective leagues? So for example, the Premier League is an entity in it's own right and has therefore chosen to implement VAR whereas the Championship, League One and League Two are run by the EFL, Therefore, if the EFL choose to implement VAR would they need to do this across all three leagues or could they just use it in the Championship but not the other two?
Pretty sure the EFL could do just the championship if they wished. Certainly don't see it ever going in the bottom two tiers.
Not sure what this has got to do with SR but VAR is a complete **** show, all it shows to me is that some fraudulent activity is at play. They don't even try to be right half the time, just give the decision in favour of whichever team is meant to win the points. It's so bent, I would imagine a half decent lawyer could sue based on loss of earnings etc! I would not be surprised to see this happen at some point. I know we have been awful this season but VAR has made me hate football way more than any result.
yeah we wandered a bit off-piste there but imagine if we had a whole thread dedicated to VAR… count the swear words!
That would be an awful thread, would probably push me over the edge!! Best to just bring up VAR as you have done on any of the other threads!
I wouldn't quite say that, it's been a bumpy ride for sure, but it's not all been one way traffic. It's been down and up and now some more down! Unfortunately they are basically trying to learn on the job and it's generally not going well. Need to sort out the management structure of the club properly. The problem is if we get it right, then that person gets poached like Wilcox was and we have to start again. I watched the Marian Pahars podcast last night and was shocked to hear he applied to be u21s boss a few years back and didn't get it. I think we need to look more at these kind of people. Former players who genuinely have love for the club. They would stay longer and we could build something. For what it's worth I think he would be a great DOF!
I don't know if this is true. Denied a work permit apparently. https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1259460453?-11205:798:nn_topic_top_latest
