It’s a lack of civilisation issue, the Balkanisation of London civic society has resulted in many communities having zero pride in their surroundings. I don’t see how this can be disputed.
A 14 year old boy was stabbed to death on Woolwich Common this afternoon- some horrendous pictures on social media. I used to have family in that area - it has totally gone, shot to bits. Very sad.
I lived about 5 walk from there in the 80s it was nasty then. Went to the river boat last week at Woolwich and it was like walking in Mogadishu I would bet my car that the suspect's fits the usual profile. Gang related and Possible connection to a stabbing earlier. 14 years old. Ffs
I had family there in the 70s, so know the area well. Last went back there for a Woolwich hospital night time visit a couple of years ago - it was grim, very grim - particularly under cover of darkness. The area is unrecognisable from the 70s & 80s, which explains why so many CAFC fans have deserted Woolwich & the surrounding area.
I used to regularly use the Ladbrokes at the end of Spray St - in those days it was almost completely local working class people.

A copper once told me that the Somali gangs rule all the estates like Cardwell, the Common, plumstead Kidbrooke. He said unless a serous and proper serious crime took place they could do what they liked
