Banging on about not needing Milk from Canada, now He’s turning on the EU, now. This is going to be great on here for banter.
Just listening to it now, he's talking about not taking any Canadian cars and building them in Detroit instead, but as I understand it Canada, along with Mexico (and almost most developed nations) supply the US (and other countires) with parts for all sorts of equipment, including cars. The world is one big supply chain, I don't think it's as easy as he wants to make out that it can all suddenly be done in house.
Jamaica is going to be interesting in a couple month. Place is full of Yanks and Canadians. Taking my fishing rod with me for that. Reckon the MAGA crew will be easy pickings.
He's already told Europe/NATO they will be paying 5% as their share of defence not 2%. He said why are we paying for them, there's a big ocean between us.
They don't need Canadian trees either The guy is going to turn the US into a closed shop where everything will become more expensive as a result.
He’s going to make us very vulnerable if NATO ceases to exist. I’d normally not give a **** but with the way the nutters in charge around the world are at the moment, now isn’t the time.
Especially given how cozy Trump is with Putin. I genuinely don't think he cares if Russia takes other parts of Europe, he'd see it as a European problem.
That's exactly what I think he is doing, going to create a closed shop. All the green stuff he will get rid of, he was complaining about the windmills earlier, complaining about ECO appliances as well. Had a go at China over the Panama Canal, saying we built that and China are abusing it, we should never have donated the canal.
He was saying that earlier, Europe is the problem not Putin, he goes I understand how he feels with Europe wanting to put NATO on his doorstep.
I’m laughing at a lot of it. It’s just sabre rattling. No difference to Putin when he threatens Armageddon to try and get what he wants. He wants to build fear to get what he wants.
He's a small minded nationalist. His vision is to have everything made by the US for US citizens and he's trying to sell that to Americans as 'make America great again'. The problem (one of them) with his strategy of whacking huge tariffs on imports is that the tariff will simply be passed on to the consumer making goods hugely more expensive. (That's before you get into paying US wages to make stuff that is made at a fraction of the cost in places like Indonesia and China)
