I don't think there are sides to it - the two grounds are only a minute's walk apart. The closest grounds in senior football in the UK. I've often wondered how locals choose which of the two teams to support.
I think that honour should actually go to Hampden Park and Lesser Hampden Park which are literally the width of a road apart - but won't because Hampden isn't a club stadium. It does go to two Uruguayan clubs in Montevideo. Situated in a district called Parque Batlle, the stadiums of second tier sides Central Espanol and Miramar Misiones are just 115 metres apart.
Well suspect he enjoyed the cup run and PL days pre COVID before he broke the rules twice . https://x.com/watford_fcnews/status/1876385380959658299
Ahh I did not know where this conversation started So the Watford squad was full of egos, OR they just spotted what an over priced little bellend he was
Probably had his own egos and attitude issues . All these players seem to complain about the changing in management but it was like that before he signed and if Burnley was so good why leave ? Money otcourse .
I guess it depends upon which website you read/believe, but Luton and Rob Edwards have parted company - either by mutual consent or by sacking...
Probably sacked but they like to sag mutual consent .. Been coming for a while . Did well obviously with promotion but 2024 was a nightmare for them except against us !
Having watched Rob Edwards teams since his days at Forest Green, his attacking principles remained the same. This worked well when he had the attacking players available, bur without them his ability to organize a defence seemed to be lacking. He brought a freshness and honesty to his short time at Watford, which when he was sacked brought about plenty of comment, not very favourable about the owner. His success up the road was rightly acclaimed, but the mood amongst the fans had turned to some degree. It doesn't take long in the football world for folks to forget that a club can overperform, and need time to regroup when results are no longer going for them. Would he be able to turn their fortunes around? We will never know.
I think the trouble here was he fell out with Mr Pozzos over the DoF we had at the time. One minute we had Scott Duxbury backing him with all sorts of long term promises them the next Edwards was fired. Had made an average start to the season but nothing bad (compared to the run Luton are having now) Since then hardly heard from Duxbury at all.
Another ex WFC manager gone. Dyche from Everton. Talk of Jose going there as the new owners worked with him elsewhere albeit ended badly as ever.
Two coaches that Gino sacked gone from their clubs on the same day. I hope he is nor feeling left out.
More of that Andre Gray podcast interview about us with Foster. Basically didn’t enjoy his time with us and compares us unfavourable with Burnley . And agrees with Ben it wasn’t a great place to be with cliques - they seem to blame the foreign lads. One has to ask did Andre do any research on us before joining - or was the money too good and the main motivation? And his form/ off field behaviour would have not adhered himself much.
