A few points about the game yesterday I'be seen: Press make a massive thing about Larsson's dive yet hardly anything about the handball which led to the goal which won the game. Both cheating yet only the dive is lambasted from all sides. Secondly the off side against Elmo at the end of the game, when the ball was played he was played onside by 3 players. Yet the wonderful sky (and BBC) say that they were easily caught off side. That Linesman guessed and got it wrong. If it'd been man u or one of the big guns, it'd have been massively scrutinized. Lastly (and most importantly), it was plain to see where Bruce got his tactics from. Ji started playing ok in the second half. Not setting the world alight but winning things and chasing things. The game was ours all over until he brought on Elmo and went 4-5-1. This hasn't worked all season so why the hell would it work now? I just wish the ref had booked Larsson for diving. I honestly think we'd have won if he had
Agree on the offsides call. Got it wrong...badly. SAF would be having a freakin' fit if it happened to him.
I think Brown seems to be getting off lightly in peoples eyes. He cost us a goal yesterday by completely misjudging the cross (turner would have been lynched) We all know what happened against wigan too and he also cost us a goal against norwich. Generally his play is good but he's costing us goals
Yes Larsson did dive and so justice was done when their keeper saved the kick, but their second goal was a handball so it was not justice! Problem was throughout the game our forwards were poor, Ji looked a little bit better 2nd half but not much Bendtner poor all game.
Every time Brown makes a mistake it costs us, Norwich, Manure, Wigan now Wolves other times he looks good..MoN has some work to do!
It doesnt matter how poor the forwards were, once we reverted to 4-5-1 Wolves were no longer scared to defend high up the pitch and send all their players forward. 2 forwards, no matter how good/bad they are force the opposition to be wary. Black's decision cost us the game, though the handball didnt help.....
Larsson did dive but we should have had a pen in the first half when Berra sexually assaulted O'shea in the box off a corner
So it wasn't Bruce's fault then as he "wasn't into tactics" maybe Black should've been the one... (i'm still in the "bruce out was correct" BTW) Come on Martin. Get the lads sorted out in training today and get them playing as a team. Show us why most sunderland fans wanted you
Sorry I was as about as clear as mud! I meant that Black displayed the same lack off tactics when things turned pear shaped. To be fair to the man he was put into an enviable position of damned if you do, damned if you donât but given that the team has been wrongly set up all season surely he would have tried something different.
