Both look really nice. Could murder a decent Sunday dinner.

Turkey and leek pie tonight, with the remaining left overs. Looks good, although mash topping instead of puff pastry.

Would prefer puff pastry, but no complaints.

 

It was bloody lovely.

 

Sous vide chicken breast. Trial run for new years day. Juicy.

 

Happy new year lads. Rioja is on form, just need to be off the commercial wagon.

Off for a walk today, North Gower so woods and saltmarsh type stuff, might get over the dunes to a beach.

Pub lunch after, with beer. But only one beer. Probably.

 

Tried grilling steak for dinner last night. Was better than it looks but needs to be fried really.

Quick and easy no frills tea. 5 minutes to knock up. Jerk chicken wraps.

 

You doing that jerk rub yourself ?

 

Yeah mate. I make a load of it and then portion it up and fridge or freezer it depending on when I’ll use it.

 

Love Jerk chicken. One of my best mates is Jamaican, but he does it with that sweet bbq marinade kind of style which I'm not so keen on.

Prefer that dry rub style. Same with Indian/Nepalese food. I'm not a fan of curries swimming in sauce, prefer meat cooked in a Tandoor with dry spices.
