    The most annoying thing:

Line up 100 fans and ask them if Meslier should have been replaced or should be. If less than 95 said yea I would be gobsmacked.

It’s not like the rest of the pitch, Bamford used to divide opinion as he did the extra stuff, Joseph gets a bit of a pass as he works his socks off, there is often unforeseen stuff or coach instructions at play.

Goalkeeper you’re either good or your not.

Meslier often fails at the basics, he can’t deal with crosses, he doesn’t command the area, he flaps, he’s got poor distribution I’m lost as to why he’s not been replaced.

If it came out he was involved in a betting scandal it would definitely make more sense. The second goal yesterday was initially going over, I’m still shocked at what he did for that one

Simply put. If he is the best keeper at the club then we’re in serious trouble. I am beyond the point that he might develop into a great player, it’s the here and now and his mistakes are becoming more frequent and costing us points. The club need to grow a pair and get a goalkeeper in on loan. I have no faith in Darlow if he can’t have replaced him by now.

I’d actually prefer that to be true.

What's he worth now, after quite a few howlers, 50 quid and a lucky bag thrown in, from a none league club

Farke is in danger of a divided dressing room if he’s not careful.

Should the players have vented themselves like that, maybe not but either way it shows how they are feeling

Why not?? No point in shrugging your shoulders and patting him on the back, it's obvious that they're getting a bit miffed with the regularity of the howlers...even piroe who seems very laid back was incredulous... it's all very well saying back him but how many times do you need to before the next time it costs us again... would you keep getting away with it at your work?... enough

I would rather that than going all huggy and giving him a pat on the back. There there never mind meslier it's ok is not the way. Just get rid of him and put him up for sale. Sign another goalie immediately even if on loan and guarantee him a starting spot.

OLOF won't like that mate, he's a Meslier fan.

Well, probably closer to the truth would be he hopes Meslier keeps the Number 1 spot until Farke is sacked!!

Goalies are actually encouraged by some coaches to rant at defenders, when they think they've made a mistake... or just for dramatic effect it seems sometimes. So i wouldn't read that much into some coming back the other way. I think this is just natural frustration/reaction to seeing a winning position put in jeopardy by a howler. I'm sure the fact that it wasn't his first howler and that he was in no-man's land for the first goal played its part too.

Rodon was particularly demonstrative otherwise i think the others would maybe have gone un-noticed... 3 guys all in shot all facing the same way, all frustrated.

If you've never watched football at a senior level, close up with few fans present, you might be surprised at the lip that's given out in general between opposing teams but also between team-mates. I was surprised by it when i watched an u21 game. I thought football had got all nicey nicey since i was a kid <laugh>

Word on the street that Firpo was very vocal in the dressing room after the Sunderland fiasco from Meslier, and they don’t talk anymore.

At Blackburn Struijk was tidying up and was facing our goal 30 yds out, simple back pass to our keeper…. No, put it out for a throw.

Preston away should have done better, even the top female analyst on Sky stated that ffs.

Blackburn at home, look at it closely, this clown is 6’6”” and the ball went over him by 3 yd max well within his 6 yd box, he was stagnant.

Then these at Hull, yes all three of them,
There are more , ie Portsmouth etc Farke cannot keep defending him surely, well he can but it may cost him his job, might be a good thing in a way !!!

The whole team don’t have any confidence in him whatsoever ever, Farke must sort this and fast track

It’s pretty simple. Meslier needs to be taken out of the firing line, his confidence must be shot, as well as his teammates losing faith in him, so if Darlow isn’t good enough then get a keeper in on loan who is. Farke needs to be more ruthless.
