You made a statement that the club made a loss of £22 million while selling players for £34 million, you obviously did not just make a mistake, you did not understand the topic. From Nigel Pearson's first season 2020 -21 in charge the wage bill was £30.25m and this was cut by £6.4m by 2021-22 (wage bill £23.80m). The following season another £6m was saved. Amortisation on transfer fees saved over Pearson time was £20m. Add sales of players. Nothing to offset the losses? More nonsense.
All of those were when LJ was manager, not Deano or Nige. Edit: Actually, I think Eliasson was sold when Dean Holden was manager.
he dumped a load of players which meant given a free and paid till got new club or the contract expired in a couple cases dumped players renogatiated a new deal .. wasnt AW ONE OF THEM? Not quite right in the explanation and wording but indicates the pattern .. sort of
Pack, Brownhill, Flint, Elliasson, Webster CHECK DATES SOLD! thread is about NP ...AND WAGE BILL REDUCTIONS!
I must admit I don’t always read the whole thread - especially when recovering from Xmas festivities We stocked the bar up with Guinness and Madri on draught - it was a blinder!! I need a serious detox now. Today is my last day I’m allowing myself a beer. I’m going dry from tomorrow until 6th Feb (with 2 exceptions for birthdays).
I’ve been off work (Annual Leave) since December 19th and have also over indulged on the food and drink front, particularly on the drink Today is the last day of enjoying myself After that it’ll be back to drinking at weekends only Boring !!
PART TIME DRINKER THEN! ...I enjoy a couple pints once or twice a week .. only have 1.5 pints when driving .. drinking at home not my thing really had a bottle [ litre ] of Baileys over the festive season though ..off up north in a couple weeks for at least 8 nights away might make it 10 though could stay in my cousins caravan if not to cold or weather is not really snowy i keep tabs on the Traffic cams starting at Drumoctor through Inverness and up to Braemore currently snowing all the way to ULLAPOOL .... HOPE THAT ISNT THE CASE IN A COUPLE WEEKS!!!!!!!
I never used to be a part time drinker I was an all day every day drinker whenever possible, lager, Gin, Whisky, Wine etc, until I decided to change my ways It would be very easy to go back to it but I’m not going to
I drink beer. Every day. Rarely any other alcohol - an occasional glass of wine with a meal maybe and an even rarer shot of spirits (3 times a year?) But I am very much a beer monster. I just love the stuff - it’s wonderful. I need to give my liver a break though - and prove to myself (and the wife) that I can do without it!! Desperately trying to finish off the rest of the 11 gallon keg of Guinness before midnight
Just to add; I’ve just booked my tickets to Munich for the beer festival. I can’t wait!! Das Schmecht sehr gut!! Prost!!
