Surprised there wasn’t any comment on here about the Brighton pen yesterday? Soft as ****e. Games gone.
Lot of people disagree. Both headed the ball before they clashed heads. It definitely wasn’t deliberate. Surely just a coming together? Anyway, that’s how I saw it & as I said, games gone; so soft just absurd.
I didn’t think it was when I read about it, but when I saw it, I realised the reason for it. If you mistime a tackle it’s a penalty, so mistiming a header is a penalty. Like me, most people were caught out because it’s never happened before, as far as I know. Jack Charlton would have given away a lot in his day.
It would have been a coming together if he wasn't late. Pedro got there first which is why Saliba caught him. I agree it wasn't deliberate but most fouls aren't. Saliba didn't head the ball - Pedro did which is why Saliba caught him.
I get your viewpoint. I suppose my initial issue was it’s so soft, just like so much nowadays. Yep, I’m old school & struggle with the over micro management. Saw this at the weekend. Very much agree.
West Ham have sacked Julen Lopetegui, with Graham Potter taking over on a short-term arrangement until the summer
I wonder if we would have stood a chance if we approached a few months ago. Surprised he has agreed to a short term deal.
I'm not surprised Potter only wants a short term deal either (I'm assuming the length of deal was his choice). Gets back into managment but also keeps his options open for the summer. Everton job will be available for example. Assuming they stay up that's an attractive option.
