Watch the news man it's a disaster, airports closed, roads closed, power outages. Advice not to go outside, stock up on food and medicine.

What a ****ing state the modern world is in.

I think weather forecasters are a bit like Covid models, they take the extreme worst case scenario & present as a done deal fact!
Seems to happen every time. Every weather event gets blown out of proportion

Did you see where an FoI request showed that one of the 'hottest' temperatures on record lasted seconds, and coincided with a typhoon jet taking off near the recording instruments? <laugh>

The hottest temperature was recorded at 46 separate sites, that’s a hell of a lot of Typhoons.

I’ve not, I’m not that arsed, I just saw the Met Office statement that rubbished the claim.

So the met office rubbished the FoI. <laugh>

Having had many dealings with the Met Office, I found that it's as well to look more deeply into things. :emoticon-0105-wink:

It felt like it last night.

It should now be BD13 ex ticktontiger.

Got home from the match OK. Not sure about the Leeds fans on the broken down coach 1m east of Ferrybridge.

Reminds me - I got stppoed by a Middlesbrough fan who was running up behind me and asked how far the station was he was going to miss his train.....I was walking up Boothferry Rd and was near Boothferry P0ark (RIP). I tried to help - he's probably near South Cave now.
