We will huff and puff but Fulham will take this one comfortably running out 2-0 winners after a tight first half.
Agree with Gaffer, this looks nailed on for a 1-1 draw. Fulham are a good side, unbeaten in seven and have drawn four of their last five games. I just hope we keep the new formation with three centre-backs. We look a lot more solid with Walton in goal and Woolfenden playing in that sweeper position. If possible, play the same starting eleven that started against Chelsea. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
Chelsea & Spurs every other game! Still find myself incredulous that we are playing these teams week in and out 3 years ago it was Forest Green!
Only 2 years ago, amazing to think we weren't looking overly convincing this time 2 years ago that we'd get automatic promotion from League 1
I like you hopes he doesn't change it however I do feel the individual performance from Delap was exceptional and he isn't going to do that every week, so we'll need to attack and keep the ball better as a whole team against Fulham. Our home performance was also very encouraging against them with us being the more dominant team in the second half.
Got stuck in the snow and had to abandon the car in West Yorkshire. Then I learn Omari is injured. Worse news than any of that... Roy Keane is doing the punditry on Sky!
23 odd minutes played, and it’s a defensive performance so far. Greaves and Woolfenden been so strong in defence, heading everything out. Walton’s made a smart save. Davis put in a great ball that Szmodics arguably should’ve buried. We’ve not had much of an attacking outlet. Couple of good Delap runs and Broadhead’s looked tidy on the ball in our half. Not quite able to break out yet.
Davis possibly a bit lucky to stay on the pitch. Booking for a clumsy foul with Fulham racing through. Argument that we had a covering centre-back. Davis been caught out defensively a few times already today.
1-0 Town. Szmodics! Brilliant Broadhead cross, Johnson competes and hits bar. Really dire Fulham clearance gives Szmodics the chance to smash home.
