I'm sorry but Hartridge is sh*t and Taff is always injured if we're going to maintain our promotion push we need new faces it's not like our owner can't afford it.
The problem is if you are successful in League 1 Championship clubs will come after your players & manager. Also with FFP rules we don't stand a chance. I have just looked at the average attendance for League 1 we are 21st. Even if we were still in League 2 we would be in 15th or 16th place between Crewe & Colchester. Dream on
Looks like we are trying to buy a Charlton defender with 6 months left on his contract. Apparently very similar to Caleb Taylor on stats but not quite as good Also aged 29. Not sure but could do worse. Apparently tried to buy him last year I woudn't be surprised to see Morley back
I hope you are right on the first point Ron, I wouldn't be surprised they put Morley out on loan for a reason, could be an interesting fly on the wall conversation, unless they took him back just to spite us, would they have taken him back if we were below Bolton in the League & going along happily in mid-table
Bollocks “It's good to see him back,” said the Whites’ boss. “The loan was great for us really and did exactly what we needed it to do. He’s come back confident, fit and ready to play. “It’s like having a new signing who's already integrated into what we do, so a huge plus and a huge benefit. He will be involved tomorrow. “He's trained really well, got a big smile on his face and everyone's pleased to see him, so I’m looking forward to seeing him play.”"
Exclusive: Wycombe Wanderers in advanced talks to sign Crystal Palace star Imray However, he has never played for Palace and currently on loan at L2 side Bromey "Imray, 21, is currently on loan at League Two side Bromley and has impressed with Andy Woodman’s side during the first half of their debut campaign in the EFL. The Eagles are set to recall Imray this month and send him straight out on loan to Wycombe as they want the full-back to test himself at a higher level during the second half of the season."
Caleb Taylor may return to Wycombe Wanderers if he does not break into the first team at West Brom this month, according to Matt Bloomfield. The Chairboys manager expressed his gratitude towards the Baggies for sending Taylor on loan to them after they recalled him on 2 January and left the door open for the defender to return on another temporary stint before the window closes on 3 February. Bloomfield pointed out that the 21-year-old cannot play for any other club this season having already featured for Albion and Wycombe, meaning he could be sent back to the League One club.
Now Preston after Lowe and Swansea still want him. Fee estimated at £750K although a price war could push that up. If he stays and his contract is not extended (which would be stupid) he could leave on a free in the summer although, because of his age, Wycombe would get some compensation (no idea what that is)
I think if we lost Low it would be a massive dent to our promotion bid. However £1.2mil would seem about right.
I can't see us keeping Low if he only has 6mths on his contract, we've either got to offer him another 2 year contract & he's got to think we will be in the Championship next season for him to stay
