Firstly, loans cost the club money; they don't come foc.
Secondly, we can't have infinite loans, because of the costs involved and because of the limit of players allowed to be named in a first team squad, so yes you can 'waste' loan spots (not that I actually said anything about "waste").
Thirdly, if you read the article, it spells out what these loan spots should be bringing to the squad (the strategy).

As I posted, "arguably a bit of bad luck to a degree I guess ....but...".
Rushworth. Hasn't played even 1 minute for us.
Puerta. No complaints (other than Walter failed to get anything like the best out of him). Came with an option to buy. If he continues like he did v Swansea then could be a cracking permanent for us.
Bedia. Hardly matches the now stated strategy for loans
Burns. Might develop into a decent player, but what was the point. Wasted money.
Zambrano. A gamble that hasn't paid off this season ... but might well do longer term.

It's the massive gap between the stated sensible strategy for our loans v's the reality of this summer's loans. The club must do far better in January.

Wots this post doing in here. Sort it out mods this is not a thread for football related discussions.

Be even worse when the mighty leeds get back to their rightful place in the champions league and draw galatasaray!!!

I think backlash is beyond Galatasaray but sure it is ignited by them. We might lose couple of sponsors, I see a lot of support tweets from everyone stating that flag is sacred for nation and call for Corendon and Safi to leave sponsorship. Safi is Fener based group, they will resist but I am not sure about Corendon.

It was obvious that at some point Acun's stupid mind games will cause us some trouble, but even I didn't foresee this, Leeds-Galatasaray games were in April it is not even anniversary, Turks see this as clear provocation out of nowhere and I believe Acun just thought he could outrage gala fans somehow, not entire country.

They're completely mad if that's how they perceive it. It's not that deep, as the kids say

It's the same that's been said the last few years, I think you're over exaggerating. Turkish people are smarter than you give them credit for.

I think there's a good point about not allowing the act of a few to represent the nation etc but....Why are the Turkish twitter/football fans so melodramatic all the time about everything <laugh>.

I believe you are not aware of narrative of Leeds events in Turkey in 2000, it is completely different than UK. I don't say it is what happened, but entire Turkish newspapers printed that they burned Turkish flag, raped a teen and attacked shop owners who are trying to prevent them, so public opinion there strongly supporting murderers some of them are celebrated upon their release years later. They even got reduced jail time due to "aggravated provocation", you underestimate flag burning here since it is completely legal but it is a serious offence there, therefore you cannot judge them by your standards, don't bring your flags is an insult to them.

It irritates me a bit that we seem to be doing this every time we play them. I think one time it was around the anniversary of it happening or something, but do have to put this performance on every time? I know it's a sensitive issue and maybe I've got it wrong, but it seems way over the top to me that we have to denounce an entire nation every time we play Leeds because they have a vendetta against that country over a specific historic event which happened there.

I don't think this applies to any other club or any other event. An English fan got killed supporting his team in Italy in the last few years didn't he? Can't remember what club, Brighton maybe? Do Italian owned clubs have all this fuss when they play them? Like with a few things, it feels like because it's Leeds you get it forced down your throat more than with anyone else.

Our fans have been coming to the stadium with our flag as a gesture to us since the first day at Hull City matches and this makes us proud. However, since the tragic incident in 2000 in which two Leeds fans lost their lives, some hooligans from other teams have used our flag to provoke Leeds United fans by making reference to this incident. The statement made today is aimed at preventing the use of our flag as a provocation against our country. Although the same advice was made on the club's social media account last year, the intentions of those who distorted the same announcement today are clear.

It's to prevent trouble at the game.

It's risk management mainly.

But Hull isn't a Turkish club. And anything other than mutual respect and a consensus that no one should go and support their team and be murdered should not be a contentious issue.

Anything else is just outside noise.

Because people are idiots and see it as an easy way to goad. Seen it 3/4 times when going away
